Note that when you do your income taxes, if you're eligible to deduct this tax, you can only deduct the 'actual' amount paid. As stated, Disney has charged an 'estimated' amount for the year, then rebates back the difference between what they charged you, and what was actually paid, in the form of a credit toward the next year's dues. ( you don't actually get a rebate check)
Here's what OKW has been according to my records:
2001 .7157 (estimated)
2000 .7707 (estimated), .6940 (actual)
1999 .7974 (estimated), .6881 (actual)
1998 .8150 (estimated), .7734 (actual)
1997 .8995 (estimated), .7851 (actual)
1996 .9077 (estimated), .7809 (actual)
1995 .8447 (estimated), .7666 (actual)
1994 .7450 (estimated), .7141 (actual)
1993 .7175 (estimated),
I also noticed, on two different OKW contracts I had, the estimated amount rates were different by a penny. I believe they may actually change the estimated amounts throughout the year, so depending on when you purchase, the tax estimate may be different.
Also, for 1993 my actual was only .3019/point and then prorated for 179 days (200 points) and 25 days (additional 85 points) for a total tax bill of $31.37. I have no idea why the actual that year was so low.
