Do disney world weddings cost?? i keep trying to find info on it and cant seem to find a darn thing.. if youve gotten married in dw where did you get married.. how much was it? what does it include for the basic package.. sorry i know this is all big questions, i'm just kinda lost here. tia!

The $4500 package you can only have a max of 18 people (DFTW brides correct me if I'm wrong)

The $10000 and up customizable wedding is any number of people.

did you ladies get married at disney?? the more Tr i read the more scared i'm getting!! i dont know a thing about wedding sor wedding planning, let alone planning a wedding so far away. all this guest gifts and bringing dresses and tuxs and flowers and ahhhhh:scared: it's all so much. i appreciate any and all tips :)

No I did not. I really wanted to but it was out of the budget. I was offered the escape($4500 package) about four months before my wedding(had been planning for about a year and half) by my dad because we had way too much family drama going on and he thought a DFTW would solve all of the problems but I said no because I had done so much work and the important people who I wanted to come would have been too many people for escape and those most of the family members probably wouldn't have been able to afford it.

I planned my DFTW in 2 months and I was pregnant. If I can do it, you can too :) Disney makes it soooo easy

oh i'm a planner, i live for this crap, so i can definitely do it.. i just dont know if i can afford it lol. i just noticed the book they have where you can price things out (duh:laughing: ) and i'm at 25 k now!! and thats for only 30 people!!!! and thats not including chair covers and all the other little crap that i have no clue about.... i'm dead set on good photography and videography, and thats where the biggest price is coming in!! without pictures i forget everything:confused3

if good photography and videography are important to you, i would consider using an outside vendor

is it cheaper that way? or does disneys just suck lol

ps- i totally forgot about buying a dress, tux, the kids outfits and rings lol.. tack on another couple thoausand lol. ugh... a girl can dream cant she?? although i feel silly even think about spending this much on a wedding.

Lurkyloo, what was the final cost of your wedding, and i should add that your wedding pictures are exactly what i've always pictured my wedding to be like, colors and all. I'm addicted to your wedding story, my eyes feel like they are about to fall out of my head lol

That's a little unfair ladies.

We have seen recent photos from several brides who have used Disney and their pictures are lovely.

I will agree that an outside vendor can be less expensive but there are times when Disney is a great alternative.

inkedupmomma, I planned my Disney wedding in about four months and without ever having been to Disney. It is especially easy if you choose the Escape option because it's a "package" deal.

I read somewhere that the average cost of a wedding is about $30,000 (of course that depends on where you live), and it is entirely possible to have a magical wedding at Disney for that price.

Oh its absolutely possible!!! I've seen the most beautiful weddings on these boards come in under 15k. Ours is between 12-15k and we're having everything we want!! The question really comes down to "will your guests remember blue table cloths instead of white ones? and is it worth an extra $1,000??"
Thats how you have to think if you want an affordable DFTW. :)

Short answer:

$4,500 for a package wedding with everything but the reception

$10,000 and up for a customizable wedding.

Check out this site for lots more info...

... and keep asking around here! :goodvibes

When you go to this site, be sure to sign up for a "Wish book." You can calculate your general numbers from there. We are planning to do an Escape package, but I signed up for a Wish book for the Escape & the Fairytale. Reason being, is the Fairytale wedding wish book has prices for several extras you might want.

We were able to at least get an idea of the range that we should be saving up for.

My wedding is sept 2nd and we are under $13000. we have a 2:30 ceremony at wedding pavillion, pre-reception and reception at the whitehall room at the grand, dessert party at epcot and the landau coach. chair covers and special napkins and all my floral through disney is silk so a bit extra.

Granted this is only 18 guests but we have loads of food and a dual place of filet and chicken .

Its so doable and we can take loads more off if we need to, I'm only on our 2nd BEO!

Our wedding was 25 people (paid for 27... missed a couple), and I have almost everything I wanted. Minus the frills that I could live without.

Everything, I mean everything down to
the flights,
extra night at GF (we would not have stayed here if we are not getting married),
buying (not renting) his tux,
officiant (for wedding and rehearsal),
make up (trial, wedding for 3 people AND MK shoot),
steaming for 1 gown 2 dresses & a tux set,
rehearsal dinner,
farewell breakfast, and
cindy's carriage,
chair covers,
chiavari chairs,
table covers, napkins,
centerpieces at ceremony, reception, DP locations,
photogs (outside vendor),
videogs (outside vendor),
MK photo shoot,
cake,
transportation and
pretty darn awesome dessert party

All costs under $23k.

If you cut out the dinner, carriage and DP menu you could go around $19k pretty easily. Cut out the chairs and you'll get around $18k. Cut out the transportation (if you can) and you can go down even more.

So it's not cheap for us but considering what we got it was a good price to us.

Now, if you add up the hotel cost and honeymoon afterwards... that could get expensive... :lmao:

Have fun planning your wedding... :bride:

To own the rights to your photos when you use Disney photography, it is an extra $1000. With outside vendors that is included. I'm sticking to my guns here.

Is the $1000 on top of the price they charge for whatever package you get?

They don't quite tell you upfront.
