Just curious on how much everyone spends? I'm pricing out 6 nights at the WL 5 park days + dining plan at 4000 after traveling 4800.

My 6 night stay at All Star Music with park hopper and OOP food is budgeted to $3000. However, I got a discount on the hotel and am doing the Wild Africa Trek as well as driving from Ohio.

Our trip costs vary greatly from one trip to the next (2 adults, no kids). Our upcoming trip in September we rented points to stay at BLT and I bought my husband a 10 days non expiration pass last trip back in June 2012 before the prices went up that he only used 3 days of and I bought an annual pass and a Tables in Wonderland card.

* 7 nights at BLT (we're also staying 3 nights at Wyndham Bonnet Creek beforehand, but we're using my parent's points for free): $1,100
* Free flights through points we accumulate through our Southwest credit card.
* Passes were paid for last trip
* We have platinum passes to Busch parks so we're going to Sea World for the day
* We bought 3 days passes to Universal from Costco in 2011 that we still have one day left on
* I budget about $1,000 for food for ten days as we generally do 2 table service meals a day (sometimes just one a day, depending on where we are). We don't do the dining plan and with the card we get 20% off. We also don't usually get appetizers/desserts with meals and we don't drink alcoholic drinks. Realistically, we'll probably spend around $700-$800, but I'd rather be prepared. Oh, I also buy gift cards from Target for our dining with my Target card for 5% off.

Are we including dog kennel costs? 'Cause that's about $600 more for two dogs...:upsidedow

I typically only budget about $100-$200 for souvenirs, but I end up taking most of it home.

So if we're including dog kennel costs: approx. $2,900 budgeted for and probably $2,500 spent.

ETA: My parents hate flying so they decided to drive down (they also rented points to stay at BLT). So that saves us money by not having to rent a car.

Our wedding/honeymoon trip in December 2012 for 2 nights club level at the Poly and 7 nights in a one bedroom at OKW, plus passes, flights (free through Southwest), dog kennel, and food was about: $4,500.

Our last trip was around $1500 for 5 nights at POP including free dining, but that was only for two adults.

Our next trip is in 2015 to DLR, I'm budgeting $3000 for 7 nights for two adults and DD who will be 3.5 by then. We're using point for air and hotel (Sheraton Anaheim) so most of that is for food, park tickets, and airport transfers on both ends.

We almost always stay off site for the cost savings.

Last year we were at WDW off-site and spent a total right around $2,000 for a family of 5 on YES tickets for 8 days of park hoppers with waterparks and more.

Dh's work paid for the transportation as he had a conference in Orlando we planned our trip around.

Your numbers sound just about right for the type of vacation that you have planned.

I don't spend nearly $800 in transportation costs. I use FF miles and just pay the 9-11 fees. And I purchased DVC so figuring just how much one trip will cost is kind of difficult to say. But I spent $850 on PAPs for 2 people and I've budgeted $1K for food and alcohol for a 9-day trip during F&W. So, does that mean that I can say that my next trip is going to cost me under $2K?

$7189.XX GF RPC 9 nights 10 days ( including DDP for 4 /1 infant)
$591.XX Rental for 2 weeks

$650 in Disney gift cards
$400.00 gas

Please break that down per person. I would love to know! Only $1500 on food for 3 weeks seems small if you sprang for $60,000 for air unless it was a transcon flight. $15,000 for the GF sounds cheap for 3 weeks but that depends on how many rooms or people.

Our last trip was around 2500.00 for 8 nights at art of animation 7 day base tickets, flights and free dining plus spending etc. but I feel the cost was so low because my parents stayed with us in a family suite. This September DH myself and our 2&5 year old are headed back to the world! My heart is at AOA and the pricing for 5 days with a prayer for free dining is like 3600.00 with spending money flights etc. that seems so high but I just love AOA family suites!!!

Doesn't seem to matter want our discount is
7 nites @POFQ river view/8 day PH, free dining (or room discount) always seems to run anywhere between $2200 and $2500.
This trip we paid way, way too much for air, but c'est la vie

wow- these vacations seem to be on the high side.

how often do you take vacations
