the itinerary looks great, nice long trip! i am actually working on mine for december and added an epcot day, mainly so I could have the peach snap! we have eaten at giordiano's it is great. Glad to see you could utilize so many restaurant.com coupons!

Thanks for correcting me on where I am eating at! I knew it was longer than what I had spelled out but I was too lazy to look it up!! You saved me some time!! What did you eat there? How did you come across it? I am jonsing to try and squeeze a Christmas trip in but I think I may be in deep trouble if I do. I mean I have to start looking at cost of this wedding and make priorities...unless I win the lotto, which I do not play... which means my chances are pretty slim I would venture to say!

With the Fall time soon approaching, every year they have this cute event at a local farm with corn mazes, etc. We usually go there. It's a little something to do on the cheap. I think it's $10. You can check out their website:

We ate at Gio's twice in 2006 and 2007 trips. (i guessed on the spelling you may still have to look it up!) They have free cheese bread coupons in some local kissimmee coupon books. Their deep dish looks great, we ordered hand tossed crust though and it was really good. It is not far from Disney 10 minute drive I believe. They also deliver to the front desk of Disney hotels! You just cant use any coupons or gc then. Christmas trip! You are crazy, but I know what you mean, I would love to sqeeze in another trip whenever we get a chance, but we are in the same boat of trying to save "have a baby sometime soon" and "get the house in order" money. Priorities stink

Dan has soooo much time off coming up and I am dead in December from the 12th on so it is a matter of spending money. The kids said they did not want to go this year and then Baylor was just sad he was not going to MNSSHP.

He is going to kill me for posting this but again...The visual many people have of Nebraska is not helped by this. I think he needs to go back and be a Mascot or something for a pep fest!!!

My favorite part was when he would hook his safety clip on for a few seconds of a stretch and the little rung he clipped it on to had nothing to prevent the clip from going off it if he fell and swung the wrong direction. I would die from fear with that job. No way in heck.

I get that none of can help if our parents are idiots. My kids did not choose their names either. I would though...save my first $500 and change my name if that was it. Although, maybe she gets benefits from it. Like if she doesn't get a job, can she sue for discrimination?

I think we are going to do Mr & Mrs. Potato head costumes. Don't want to give too much away but it will be easy and great!

Update:

Dan and I went through our food itinerary and decided to add Sci-Fi for Sat the 16th. Just a quick app and dessert around 2 p.m. We also decided we might skip Garden Grove buffet that night unless we are absolutely in the mood for it. Depends on if we time it right or if we are still wanting to do a ton of things at Epcot.

The other thing up for question is if we will be able to use his Disney Cast Member discount for food while there for Cal Grill and Ohanna's. Some say yes and others say no. It will be a play it by ear sort of thing. I want to do a food review this trip for the restaurant thread so I made sure a small notebook is in my packing inventory so I can take better notes for my TR and for food descriptions.

It is kind of crazy that we leave in 2 weeks. I need to talk to Leah and see if she will take care of the dogs while we are gone. Trying to talk my ex into taking Kizzy with them since they are driving and she can stay at Treyner's/with us while we are in Anderson.

We still are not set on which car rental company to use. The rates seem to be going down a bit so I will have to make a ton of calls to see what the best rate is.

I also need to order our MNSSHP tickets. So much to do still. Need to get that checklist sheet out.

I hate how nervous I get before leaving for a trip when we are not all together. The kids leave with their Dad on Friday the 15th and so I need to trust he will make sure he asks if they have their homework with, all the things he never thinks of and they won't but would ruin a trip if they did not have. Like extra contacts etc. I should just make a list for them too.

Carsyn is going to Jamaica for her senior spring break! Her and 5 other friends are going to a Sesame Street Sandals resort with one of the girls parents. They have been there for the past 3 spring breaks and the girls said it would be nice not to be in a Mexico type atmosphere with 2 million drunk teens. It is an all inclusive, she will have a great time and she is now on a weight management kick. In my fridge, freezer and pantry is signs saying: Spring Break and a Jamaica flag plus a beach and a bikini pictured! The cost will be $2,000 and she is paying a huge chunk herself from her job. Her dad and I will pay a portion equal to what we had paid for Treyner's sports/travel we incurred for him his senior year. I am glad she is going to have a great time but that leaves us wondering what we will do. It was their Dad's year for spring break and I do not know that he will do anything. Maybe I can convince him to take Baylor and a friend somewhere.

Well, I am off to recheck my checklist and figure out what we can do to get more ready to go.

NEW UPDATE WITH PLANS TO THROTTLE:

OK. I need advice and I need it quick.

I called the ex to ask when they were for sure leaving to drive to SC and he explained that he is planning on looking online THURSDAY THE 14th to determine if there is a great last minute deal for flying THE 15th and then will decide if they are driving or flying.

Can I say that I blew a nut?

I mean this is only 2 weeks away. I will be gone and now I have no idea if indeed he is bringing Baylor or if my 14 year old will be left home alone because you know that he will not make arrangements for him. Never has.

Sorry - let me explain. If he flies he is "NOT SPENDING $1,000" for 3 people to fly so if he flies he will just take Carsyn. Again, welcome to my world and why we drive when there is more than 2 of us always lately. So when I mention that he is forgetting about Baylor who is 14, he says he will have to figure that out. I said, you plan on figuring out the night before, who will watch/supervise. feed etc...Baylor for 10 days. What can possibly go wrong with that? Seeing as how he never gets names and numbers for where Baylor stays at when Baylor does spend the night if he is in charge. He has no family in the area so there will be nobody to volunteer to just hang out here, etc.

So let us recap.

I do not know if he is flying or driving and if he flies, who will watch Baylor for 10 days. I am sure I will be able to sit back and be relaxed while at WDW. No worries.

The thing that fries my hide more than anything is this is again, the first time minus a holiday he takes them to his parents house, or when I organized the time for them to be gone for spring break in March of 2009, that he has EVER had the responsibility of the kids for more than 18 hours. They do not ever spend the night for the weekend, just one night. So for once, I ask him to step up and of course it falls into the time that he wants to be gone also.

This would have been nice to know a few weeks ago because maybe I would have flown Baylor to join us the second half of the trip when airfare was cheap.

The other piece is he is assuming he will have the use of Treyner's jeep while he is there. This means Treyner is expected to drive a total of 5 hours on his arrival day and 5 hours on his departure day because of course why would Treyner not have homework between a busy schedule with soccer and school. Or the ability to even go if there is a game and he has curfew. I am going to possibly combust.

Then there is the factor that if Baylor goes, he needs his homework for missing 2 days of school. If he does not go, I am sure the teachers will just love the fact they had to get stuff specially prepared for Baylor just encase he might be on a road trip. I hear all you teachers love playing it by ear! But of course the ex will not deal with the school. It would be me, calling them, telling them the issue and dealing with telling him he will indeed be there if he stays because the ex would never call. I mean, they can just figure out the kids are not at school if they do not show up.

So what do I do?

Do I just plan on Baylor being here and asking for help to take care of him and no matter what he does not go. That might be the easiest. I then can plan on doing something with just Baylor and Dan and I later.

There is just no way I can sit back and say, let the pieces fall where they may. Which means that jack wad still has me doing all the planning when for once, I was just supposed to be worry free and not taking over his life.

The truth is though, this is about Baylor and I do not want him to feel un-important or that he is an afterthought.


Sorry for the rant. Advice would be great.

UGH - so sorry about this mess. I don't really have any advice but wanted to say how sorry I am. Could you plan for Baylor to be home with someone, but with the caveat that you could cancel those plans if he does go?

The problem is that the only person with that might be open to that is my sister Laura but she would have to be mostly at her place since she helps with my Dad who lives next door to her complex since he can't drive yet - etc. Baylor...Plus I need to have back-up for the dogs but possibly not too if he is here...not fun having nothing to go by.

Everyone else is married, kids of their own, work etc...and live farther away then close by for their own commute etc.
