How Much Trouble Can We Get Into Alone? What If I Pay Extra?

I knew the planning genious:worship: would have pixie dust luck planning this wedding, it's all falling into place and I am soo happy for you. You guys are gonna love the laid back go with the flow feel of just the 2 of you it can be very romantic with plenty of "nap":rolleyes1 breaks and such. I know how hard it is to get any privacy at home with kids, dogs and whatnot going on. Dan and I use our just us trips to reconnect:love: and reactivate:yay: it is soooo much fun. Can't wait to hear more planning.

Hi everyone!

We are back from being out of town for a few days. We attended Shannn's Mother's memorial service in Knoxville and after driving for a few days straight, I needed some down time to get work back in order and the laundry done etc.

Today I need to move around some ressies and decide more of what each day will bring. I will post that as soon as I get it.

Can I say we leave in 23 days!!!! :cool1: I am doing well weight wise but need to kick it into gear to make that goal of 30 pounds down!!!

Thanks so much for all the well wishes for Dan and I. The first leg will be solo completely but while we are in Charleston and in Anderson, the kids will be there with their Dad and so I am going to try hard to just keep it Dan and I but I know that Baylor might want to come with us at times too since Carsyn wants some alone time with her Dad since there is little of that. Carsyn wants to look at another college in Charleston and it is parents weekend for Treyner so thus the timing they will be there as well.

Hanging around my ex while trying to have alone time with Dan is not my ideal fun itenerary!

Subbed! Love you and all your antics!! Even when they haven't even happened yet!! :thumbsup2

Hey hey friends! The birthday girl is actually here. :)

I've been AWOL due to life happening but our trip is only a few short weeks away, and I'm determined to catch up on my DISing. My pretrippie is a downer right now but I'm going to make it better soon, I promise.

Also Dawn glossed over it up there, but did you get that? Yes, she, Carsyn, & Baylor drove 18 hours to come to my mother's memorial! I was shocked and so touched. They are completely sweetly adorably crazy!

I tried to figure it out seven ways to sunday but my work life happened at the same time. I look forward to seeing you and Sam in FL. Until then tell everyone hi.

Not exactly what I had in mind either:eek:
I love you and am so lucky you are as understanding as you are. I will buy you an extra Peach Snap just cause your so amazing! :lmao:

Yeah for my Shannn!!!! I am so excited about this trip!

Ok...I am spending some time today looking at info for the wedding in SC and found out what we need and don't and then came upon some clauses.

I about died.

Not kidding.

About died.

Here are some things you might want to know about who you can marry in S.C.

Literally copy and pasted here from their website...

Cousin Marriage: Yes. First cousin.

Same Sex Marriage: No.

So let me get this straight....I can only be straight to get married. If I am gay, it is a no go. But if over Thanksgiving dinner I notice Cousin Louie is sort of hot with his chaw lip, flannel wearing, trucker hat self...I am good to go. :confused3

I never liked his wife Thelma anyway. Just cause she has all her front teeth she thinks she is better then us. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Too bad...I don't have any male cousins!

Well at least is was only cousin and not sibling - ewwwww!!! Gross either way!:scared1: Keep the laughs coming as always - and congrats on the wedding plans and weight loss! I have been MIA - but that's how I roll sometimes (ps my kid hates when I say that LOL!) :rotfl:

OMG, that is so funny! And yes I did have to go look that up! :rotfl:

Here's another tidbit of info you need to know about getting married in SC:
•The bride and groom must appear together

So yes, Dan will have to show up for this special occassion. :lmao:

Well Dawn I was pretty far behind, but major score on the flights! Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Restaurant.com looks like a site I better check out. :thumbsup2

So glad that you were able to make it to shannon's mom's memorial. I know that drive had to be difficult for you! You all did a good thing!

Apparently you can't get married with Fonzie standing in for you and you being on the phone overseas Dan! (Come on, you guys remember that don't you?)
You must show up too!

So here are some basic trip updates!

Departure:
Tuesday October 12th - leave 7 a.m. from Minneapolis and arrive by 10:30 in Atlanta. Flying Delta. Non Stop! :cool1:

Pick up rental car and then, hit the road. 7 hours to Orlando and hope to arrive at WDW by 7:30 with stops. Check into POFQ and head in to freshen up. Then we have a first night dinner at Ohanna's at 9:45. :worship: So excited to enjoy this as our first meal of the trip. Can't think of a better way to kick off a great few weeks.

Wednesday October 13th - Rope drop at Epcot. Snack on some sort of lunch while walking around World Showcase.

Dinner for Shannon's BIRTHDAY that night so will probably head back to POFQ at 2 p.m. for nap or swim and then drive to Contemporary and park for Cal Grill dinner by around 5 p.m. That night Epcot is open until 12 p.m. but I also know MK is where Shannon is heading for Wishes. We are open to either that night or maybe both. The next morning we have a bit of a sleep in so no rush for us.

Thursday Oct 14th - Shop at Nike Outlet that morning or maybe a mall by 9 a.m. Have meeting at Starbucks with photographers at 10:30 a.m. and after, will enjoy a pizza at Giordino's which I found a coupon for at my new fave website. It is just a mile down the road from where we are meeting the photographers on I92. :thumbsup2

Head back to hotel and swim/nap ;) and then be at MK by 4 p.m. for entry into the park for MNSSHP. (Still need to get costumes up and running.) I did not want to wast a day's ticket since you had to pay OOP for MNSSHP anyway. Enjoy food at Casey's etc. that night.

Friday Oct 15th -
Rope drop at AK and get most of the park done by our 11 a.m. ressie at Yak N Yetti's. Plan on just ordering app's (Tell me ehat you guys think of the green beans please!) and that darn wonton dessert!!! Then finish up what we have on our highlights list and head over to Epcot. Probably will drive to Boardwalk and park.

We have reservations at Ill Mulino at 5 p.m. and then will close out Epcot. After, might head to Jelly Rolls with Shannon and Sam. It may happen Saturday night instead.

Saturday October 16th -
Rope drop at DHS. Again, have only highlights here we want to hit, one of them being Starring Rolls for lunch! :lmao: When finished, head over to Swan/ Dolphin for dinner at 5 p.m. at Garden Grove. Then hit Epcot again for the night. Can you tell which is our favorite park?

Jelly Rolls may happen again, this night.

Sunday October 17th - wake up, pack up and do DTD. House of Blues for lunch and shop before driving on to Charleston. 7 hour drive again.

Check into our hotel there that has some amazing views!

Monday Oct 18th - look at our wedding property with a walk through. Enjoy the day at the beach. Dinner that night at a BBQ place I also got a coupon for!

Tuesday Oct 19th - Do a tour of College of Charleston with Carsyn in morning. Spend rest of day at beach. Lunch at Mexican place I have coupon for also and dinner at EVO pizza!

Wednesday Oct 20th - Beach day again and might head out around 2 p.m. for trip back to Anderson. Treyner's team plays between the two locations right on the way at 4 p.m. He may not play but I love watching soccer and think it would be neat to show support. Check in that night to hotel in Anderson. We also may stay in Charleston an extra day....so much to decide.

Thursday Oct 21st - visit goat farm that had amazing fudge and soaps. Meet up with friends who live in Anderson now that I went to college with.

Friday Oct 22nd - Cook food for Treyner and freeze - find something to do that involves anything...Kristi - what is there to do in the area???

Sat Oct 23rd - Parents day at Anderson - soccer game at 4 p.m. Baylor and Carsyn will be leaving right after game with their Dad to head back so will probably have dinner with Treyner and Taylor and her family.

Sun Oct 24th - head out early to drive to Atlanta and sight see. Hotel in Atlanta for early morning flight home.

Well that is the main parts anyway. I am not sure about staying in Charleston an extra day. Part of me really wants to see a game to support his team and the other part of me says what are we going to do in Anderson for an extra day? I mean I like Anderson but it is no Charleston!

Up next: The great costume debate!!!

Heyyyyyyy .... I went to UW Whitewater. Great school! :cool1:

That may be true but I do not think I could promote drug free campus if my name is Marijuanna Pepsi....I mean what about being called MJ at least for a first name and why did she need to mention her middle name?

Does she get endorsements like people who get tattoo's on their body for company logo's?

I am glad you liked it!!!! Some of Treyner's friends went there as well.

This made me laugh as much as the Drake University advertising debacle this summer. They paid some genius to give them a new slogan!

Here is what they came up with and had huge billboards up and material printed and sent out before anyone said...this might not be the best idea.

"D+

Experience the Drake difference!"

Really? The fact a letter grade that is not what most parents want to see after paying 2 million dollars for their kid to go to school, school, might not be the best plan for highlighting the benefits of your college, did not cause anyone to question it's brilliant marketing ploy?

Their was a huge uproar from alumni and at first the President said they were going on with the new slogan...(well they did already spend the money so how do you back out now....) and then when they lost donations and people threatened to pull endowments etc....there was a change of heart.

Proof even collegiate faculty and staff are not always brighter than their $100 books. :lmao:

the itinerary looks great, nice long trip! i am actually working on mine for december and added an epcot day, mainly so I could have the peach snap! we have eaten at giordiano's it is great. Glad to see you could utilize so many restaurant.com coupons!

With the Fall time soon approaching, every year they have this cute event at a local farm with corn mazes, etc. We usually go there. It's a little something to do on the cheap. I think it's $10. You can check out their website:

http://denverdownsfarm.com/content/corn_maze/

I'll have to think of some other things to do.
