How much to tip taxi or shuttle ?

I never use a shuttle or taxi but this time we are going to. Im not sure what % you give them?

What is the flat rate taxi from long beach and do you perfer taxi or shuttle or limo?

On the SuperShuttle site, they recommend 18% and so that's what I give them. I think the rule of thumb is 15-20%.

I don't know too much about LGB airport costs, but I just happened to price SuperShuttle yesterday from LGB and it was $35 for the first person and $9 pp after that each way. I think a taxi is about $45 each way (per car, not per person). I'd take a taxi!
