For luggage, I usually tip $1 / bag.

But don't know what you should tip for valet parking (because haven't used it before, but need to because of person in our party next trip).

And is that for each drop off / pickup?

We also tip $2 on the way in and $2 on the way out for routine valet parking service. When we arrive for our stay, I usually tip the valet $5 since he/she is responsible for unloading our (2) suitcases onto the luggage cart and delivering them to bell services as well as parking the car (we then tip the bellperson when the luggage is delivered to the room; this is also $5 for the 2 suitcases, since anything less seems rather paltry considering the time required to walk to most of the villas). I have also tipped the valet $5 to unload groceries onto a cart and deliver them to bell services for room delivery, with another similar tip to the bellperson.

We usually tip $2 when we leave the car & another $2 when we pick up the car. On our last trip we had an ECV with us (rented off site). If the CM offered to help get it out of the trunk, then we tipped him more than $2.

thank you - I am thinking about asking this questions myself.....

I would have only tipped a $1 both ways.

the luggage I thought it would be $2 plus a $1 for each piece of luggage? So just a $5 is okay?

Just know the industry standard is tip on pickup only. I'd only tip on drop off if they do something special, it's raining and the like. The industry standard on bags is to tip at the final point, like when the bell hop brings your bags to the room.

We tip $2 at pick up only unless we have groceries or luggage and then we have tipped as much as $10 depending on how much we have.

Usually with valet parking, I tip only on the way out anywhere from $2-$5. And that depends on whether it's raining or a particularly busy shift and I see the person runnin' around a lot(Closer to $5)....but, now I think about the fact that the tip on the way in could get the driver a little more motivated to place the vehicle in a nicer spot or treat the vehicle with a little more respect.

We tip $2 both ways on pick up and delivering. The day we get there we tip $5 to whoever loads the luggage cart -- 5 bags. And then we give $5 to the person that delivers to the room if we're there (I feel weird watching people deliver luggage and groceries and not tipping them). We do the same with leaving at end of vacation -- $5 to whoever comes to get luggage and $5 to whoever unloads to van.

I guess I'm cheap, I tip only $1.00 but I do it for both drop off and pick up.

$5 in and out.

If I only have $3, ok, but if I only have $2, I get change.
