Helloooo :goodvibes

Please help me, I am a serious over packer.

I'm going for 3 weeks in feb, 2 weeks in Orlando doing all the parks etc and then a week down in Clearwater/ St Pete.

Does this sound like the right amount? Or should I pack more or less? I am just so rubbish at this. :confused3

I plan on taking:
5 pairs of shorts,
2 pairs of crop trousers (one pair I will be wearing on the plane)
12 tops, a mixture of tshirts and camis.
3 lightweight cardis, I will be wearing a thick hoodie on the plane.
2 swimsuits
1 skirt
3 dresses (clearwater)

Would you cull any of this? Or is around the right amount. :confused3

Thank You in advance

I'd bring less shorts and probably 2 pairs of long pants. Weather can be unpredictable still in February.

I'd take at least 1 pair of long pants. Just in case the evenings can get chilly. That time of year I usually take some long sleeve shirts also and a lightweight jacket. I'll dress in layers. I'm cold natured so I usually need a jacket for the morinings and evenings.

One or two pairs of pants - and take out a pair (or 2) of shorts or capris.

I might suggest a long sleeve shirt that can go over lots of things.

And honestly - check a day or two before your trip for the weather forecast! That could modify your needs alot!

a pair of gloves too, it can get chilly at night!

I will be in FL in Feb for almost 2 weeks and I not bringing any shorts... This is my 3rd time in FL this time of year and I agree with everyone else layers are key. It is cool in the morning and evening when the sun goes down. I am also taking those cheap stretchy gloves (2 pairs for $1.50 at Target) this year because I hate cold hands! Since you are coming from the UK I imagine it will be warmer than home but I have never been HOT in Feb in FL.
I am also trying to pack a little lighter so I plan on doing some laundry at Disney...

Hiya,

Thank you for your replies.

I think I'm going to take four pairs of shorts, and two crop trousers (i'm quite short so they are more like ankle swingers :goodvibes) and one longer pair of trousers.

I think for us we will consider it warm, we will be coming from temps from around -5 and below.

People in th Uk will start wearing shorts as soon as it hits about 10-15 lol

:confused3

Three weeks is a long time to pack for! If worse comes to worse, you can do laundry. I, myself, refuse to do laundry on vacation as I do laundry for 7 people every day of my life otherwise. However, I would think I would have to if I went somewhere for 3 weeks!

Your right on with coming from a cooler climate. I am going to be in WDW for 2 weeks in February and am planning on bringing more shorts then pants. I know it is cooler there then during other times of the year but will be a lot warmer then where I am know. Anything above 45-50 F is shorts weather for me. I will have a pair of wind pants for the evenings but usual just a wind jacket with the shorts is more then enough for me.

We also do laundry at least once so we don't have to pack so much.

I think all of the suggestions from the other posters are good. Plan to layer and bring a little bit of everything (long pants, long sleeved shirts, jacket, gloves, plus some warmer-weather stuff).
Here's my story: I was at WDW in October 2009 and the forecast for the first seven days called for record-breaking heat (90+degrees most days). So I packed shorts, sandals, and sleeveless tops, and very few warm clothes (one pair of yoga pants, one sweatshirt). Well, the last few days of my trip, the temperature dropped dramatically -- down about 25-30 degrees in the evenings, and quite windy. I tried to layer, but my yoga pants were too loose and didn't keep my legs warm because it was so breezy. I was too cheap to buy a bunch of warm clothes two days before I was supposed to fly home, but what I wouldn't have given for a warm jacket, gloves and knee socks!

PS - I am a chronic over-packer and always bring too many clothes. I now do laundry mid-trip and that really helps to keep me from overdoing it. It only takes about an hour and a half to do a load or two of laundry, and to me, it's totally worth it!

I would definitely pack more long sleeve shirts and pants... I was there last year and the high temp was 55! I nearly froze to death... here I had shorts and tshirts and could not wear any of it...

Every resort has laundry - so don't worry about under packing...you can always do the laundry later at night when you are winding down and it doesn't take part out of your day...

According to me if you are going for 3 weeks then i suggest that please do not take too much baggage. I think you almost shopping for you then do not take too much like clothes and so on.
