How does everyone plan their budget for food? We'll be eating breakfast in our room so it's mainly lunch and dinner. We will be there for 11 days in July. :Pinkbounc There are 4 adults and 3 children, 11, 13 and 16.
What's the best way to figure it?
Thanks! Cathy:Pinkbounc

I'd go to WDWIG.com and check out the menus and see what type of meals you want and calculate it that way. Then add some for snacks and drinks and you should be okay. There are so many different types of meals and prices--you just can't do it an easier way.

The food can turn out to be one of the pricest portions of a budget. We too always eat breakfast in our room. Since we stay off site we try to save our big meal for after the parks. However, we like to enjoy a sit down meal in the World Showcase, due to the ethnicity of the setting and food. It makes for a great meal. For my family of 2 adults and 1 child. It is almost $30.00 for counter service in Disney-- about $80.00 for a sit down meal. We budget $50.00 for all out of park sit down meals (usually Denny's Ponderosa, Ruby Tuesday's). Also, we buget $25.00 a day for drinks and snacks. We do start off the day w/ 2 of our own water bottles. I don't refill them at the park. Once they are gone we buy their water.

We just finished this budget and it came up to about 200.00 per day. This is eating every day inside the parks. And this is for a family of 5

We are a family 2 adults and 2 kids(5&10) We were there mid Feb. and we had budgeted $100 a day. We ended up with plenty of money left over. But we ate counter service (about $30) and we would have one or 2 snacks (about$12-$15) only twice out of our 8 days did we eat at a sit down meal it was Rainforest Cafe and Planet Hollywood ($45 each) We were on a budget so we stayed away from the Character meals which can get very costly. Hope this helps Have a great trip.
