Ok for Labor Day this year we are going to Typhoon Lagoon. And for dinner the Hoop de do revue at 5:00. What time should we leave the park to get there in time? Are there locker rooms at TL that we can change out of our bathing suits? (please please say there is!) If not, how soon should we leave to get back to the POP Century and then on to Ft. Wilderness? We most likely will take trans. to MK and hop on the ferry. We typically figure and hour to get from place to place. So if we have to go back to the POP we would leave like 2:00 or 2:30 to give us time to change.

The water parks do provide changing rooms so you really do not have to go back to your resort unless you want do.
Why not just take a bus from TL to the Fort Wilderness That would be the easiest and fastest way to get there.
I would guess that an hour would be plenty of time to get from TL to FW if you take the direct bus. Much more time if you want to go to the MK area and then boat over.

You need to take the bus to Fort Wildreness at least that is the fastest way to get to the show, you can change right at the water parks but make sure your family can handle the long day because if you want to do much at the water park then you will need to arrive early. I find by soon after lunch we have done everything at the water parks and the crowds are getting so heavy that the lines aren't worth the waits and we are ready to leave.

If you decide to go back to the hotel than going through the MK would probably be the quickest way at that time of day.

kinda of late to do now, but I would have opted for the late dinner show, 9:30. You could still have your day at a water park and not have to leave early for dinner then have a good part of the evening left. But, we usually stay at the Poly and thinking its quick and easy and fast to get to FW from there, it is time consuming. We leave the Poly a good hour before our scheduled time and just make it. We're not the kind to walk in late so we leave with ample time to spare. As for your reservation at 5, good time to try putt putt after eating or hang around the CR for some gameroom play and watch the EWP at night. Enjoy the dinner, we never miss the HDD, even after 35 years, its the best show and dinner on property, got to love the endless pitchers of beer, and strawberry shortcake !

hey all, thanks for your advice. I thought later after i posted, that duh, TL is a park and they would have a bus from there to FW. Now i just have to convice my DH that a small backpack with damp bathing suits isn't going to be big deal to carry to the HDDR. We are hoping to see the sing-along and movie and watch the lighted boat parade afterwards. Our kids(4 + 2 friends) are all bigger. 10 to 15 yrs old. They can usually handle a busy day. I am thinking since it is a holiday, they might not get to do too much at TL if it is crowded. But if they are done all they want to do earlier then cut off time, we will definitely go back to the POP and change. Again, thanks for all the help. :thumbsup2
