Thoughts on how much time we should allot for a 8:05AM ADR at Tusker House? We're planning to do Kilimanjaro Safaris straight from there - think we should get a FP for it?

The standard is to allow 60-90 minutes for character meals, and that's if you want to be sure to meet all the characters. But if you want to be out of there by park open and go straight to KS, you can. I don't think you should need a FP if you go right there at opening. It's really up to you and how much time you think you need to eat, but it seems like at park open everyone heads to Pandora these days and the rest of the park is easy to navigate.

Thank you so much!

I definitely would not get a FP for the Safari. The entire park other than Pandora will be pretty empty for the first hour after opening.

At that time, 60 minutes should be more than enough time. You'll be seated with the first "wave" of diners so the restaurant will not be full when the characters start circulating, which means they will cycle past your table faster. Once you get to the point where the restaurant is full, it takes longer to see them all. I would not bother with the FP for Safari, you should be queuing up there right at open.

We had an 8:10 ADR, but hubby and I are speed walkers and we were the second family there at opening. We ate, met all the characters, and were at the safari before they were ready to open up. We actually had to wait at a rope for about 5 minutes or so before they let us back, then a couple more minutes for our vehicle to fill up.
