I have PS's for Ohana's at 5:20 pm. I was hoping to be there for the MK fireworks @ 7:00 pm, but this is the only time I could get. With all the entertainment for kids going on how long do you think we would be there? An hour and fourty minutes seems way to long. I was thinking if I asked for a window table maybe I could buy a little more time before we were really seated. An hour for dinner seems more realistic for me but with the kids entertainment I wasn't sure.

Help!!!

How much time do you spend there?

We were there three weeks ago, on the night of the fireworks (9/8). I'm almost sure it took at least an hour and a half to eat, and we weren't trying to go slowly.

It took so long that we skipped dessert because the grandkids were getting restless.

:D

I ate there in June 2002 and it took a little over an hour to eat. We weren't in a rush, though, and we were trying to savor such a great meal in such a beautiful setting. You also have to keep in mind that just because your PS is for 5:20, doesn't mean that you're going to sit down at the exact time. Maybe if you explain to the host/hostess that you would like a table with a view they can accommedate you, but it's a risk. I realize that you want to see the fireworks, but the food at 'Ohana is soooooo good, it would be hard for me to pass it up. Have a great time!!!!!

what did you mean"it's arisk" would they not give you a table at all or what?

We were just there a week or so ago. We had a 5:30ps and were not out of the restaurant until after 7:30 and it was a slow night there. The coconut races came first on the night we were there, then the hula hooping a little later, then coconut races again.

A word of advice: Just make sure that you don't get Paul from FL, the former school teacher, as your waiter. If you do, ask to be assigned another waiter. Rude, disrespectful, and condescending. Badgered my 7 yo til she cried. Not my idea of fun especially at those prices.

But, if you want to be in the restaurant for the 7pm fireworks, you should have no problem still being in the restaurant if you have a 5:20 ps.

Thank you Pamlur, Mickey76, Cleokitty!!

I'm beginning to think that 5:20pm is almost a perfect time. Maybe "a little" early but with that in mind I will ask very nicely (with my best smile) about a window or view table. I wont mind waiting if they could arrange something.

I just pray I dont end up with Paul!! EEEK!!! He sounds like a real downer at such a great place. Sorry to hear he made your daughter cry Cleokitty. I guess he's a "FORMER" school teacher for a reason!!:D
