Whew! I need some advice! We are making our reservations tomorrow, and also buying our tickets for our trip in December. We will have 5 days down in Disney, and now that it's getting ready to be reserved, I'm getting nervous as to which hopper pass to buy! Originally, I thought we'd get a 4 day hopper, then go to Sea World one day (I know my kids would like it). Now I'm wondering if 4 days is enough for Disney. My husband and I took a Cruise/Disney vacation on our honeymoon, and only had 3 days in Disney World and found it wasn't enough for us.. and that was before Animal Kingdom opened! I figure we'd need AT LEAST 2 days in MK, and one in the others. WEll, that adds up to the 5 days! Help! Do you think we should skip out on Sea World this trip, or do you think that we could get away with combining two of the other parks in one day? My girls will be 5 and 7 years when we go this December. Help!

In the 28 years that I have been going to Disney, I have never been to any other attractions in Orlando. I have found that I can spend my entire trip at WDW and leave feeling like I would like just one more day! That said, you could certainly combine EPCOT and MGM in one day. MGM is small and if you don't care for some of the live shows or rides, you could do that first and then shoot over to EPCOT. The World Showcase doesn't open until 11:00am (I think) and stays open until about 9:00pm. If you are really good, and I was back in my younger days, you could do MGM in the morning, then EPCOT. Then the next day do AK and back over to EPCOT to finish up what you missed the day before. That might be a little too much for your kids though and can be a little overwhelming for your vacation!

We usually go ahead and buy more days than we might need anyways though because they are good for life. So, if you plan on returning to WDW, look at buying the 5 day PH as a future discount. The prices are always increasing!

Have fun and good luck!
We're leaving on Saturday! Yahooo!!!:Pinkbounc

You need more days, Woman!!

Well, if I had to do four days, I would do 1 day MK, one day MGM, 1 day Epcot and one half day at AK, then head over to Epcot for the evening.

But, in December things close earlier, so it is hard to get it all done in one day, unless you are going early in the month when the crowds are lower.

I would do five days at Disney. Four just isn't enough!

If you were doing a whole week, then you could divide your time between Disney and another park but alas you only have 5 days.

Have fun planning!:sunny:

Hey i am going in december also
3 days on land 4 day cruise then back at disney for 5 days, i plan to hit seaworld and universal and just have a day or two to relax as i am from il and would not be excited to get back to the cold weather so i'm gonna just wing it but for my days at disney i plan 3 days for the magic kingdom, im staying at the grand floridan but then after our cruise i am staying off property hope some of this helps

Thanks for your input. I greatly appreciate it. I gave it a lot of thought last night, and then after reading all your responses today, I've decided that we will skip Sea World this year., and spend all 5 days in Disney. I know my girls would love Sea World (I did as a child!), but they are excited about DISNEY. Plus, as FreshTressa noted, the parks close earlier in early December, so that cuts into the time we can spend there. I think I'd rather let the girls go on repeat rides of their favorites instead of heading off to a Non Disney Park. Whew. What a load off to have made that decision! Thanks again!
