How much time, if any, to plan at HS with a 6yo and 21 mo?

We were last at HS last spring, and I understand that a lot's been closed for the Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land expansion. Is it still worth visiting with such young kids? For a half day? at all? The 6yo refuses to ride the RNR coaster or ToT, and I don't think that's likely to change in the next 6 months. And there's not much the baby can do, right?

Thanks!

Well, my kids loved Lights, Motors, Action, but that's gone now, but there's still plenty to do. If they enjoy shows, there is still the Beauty and the Beast Show, and the Frozen Sing-a-long which I thought was going to be silly but was pretty funny and the kids enjoyed it. There's also the Disney Junior live show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Moana character meet... we also love Indy but your mileage may vary if you think the kids might be afraid of fire, loud noises etc. And Toy Story Midway Mania would probably be fun for the 6 year old. I personally have always loved DHS and I still think even in its present state would be worth at least half a day.

For us it's a half day park that we might stop back back to if time permits. I have a soon to be 4 special needs DD so there's really not a ton for her to enjoy. My inlaws have mentioned that the Disney Jr show is good for little kids, so we're going to give that a try along with Toy Story.
We really like HS at night though, it's pretty cool with the Old Hollywood vibe!

You all can do TSM...the older one can do Star Tours, and you all can do GMR. There's also shows that my kids like (Beauty & Beast, Disney Jr., Ariel, Indiana Jones, Frozen), and we always do Fantasmic!

My almost 5-year-old and almost 3-year-old loved HS. We spent waaay more time there than I had planned. They wanted to watch the Disney Jr show multiple times, ride TSMM as many times as we would let them, and the oldest would have spent all day on Star Tours all day if I would let him. Admittedly he is a huge Star Wars fan, so we spent a lot of time with all of the Star Wars stuff. We also did Jedi Training, which is a bit of a time suck. But they had a great time in the park overall, which really surprised me.

HAHA. Last time I think DD1 rode Star Tours FOUR times and came home with a full size light saber we had to carry on the plane. We like Star Tours, but even with DH and I trading off (the other person got to hold our baby in a stroller nearby, as there was literally nothing we could do with the baby).

I know! My younger son didn't like Star Tours, so I took him to meet Olaf, watched the Frozen Show, and found a not-crowded spot to just let him run. The age gap makes it difficult, for sure!

I have a 6 year old DD and a 2 year old DD. If you have parkhoppers, I would spend a half day at DHS. My kids both love TSM, the Little Mermaid Show, and the Frozen show. My oldest really liked Jedi Training, Star Tours, and Launch Bay, but she is into Star Wars. My little one loved the Disney Jr. show and meeting the Disney Jr. characters , Olaf, and the Toy Story characters, but she loves characters so YMMV.

DH and I are Star Wars fans (not cosplay level, but we've seen all the movies in the theaters, which is no small feat with little kids and no family around for child care) and even we needed a break from Star Tours, LOL. DD1 loves Frozen and we have done the Frozen sing along and now the character that she is totally obsessed with is .... Moana. And she loves characters. So Parkhoppers + half day it is. I don't think we can go to WDW and not meet Moana. (Last year it was an hour wait for Joy and Sadness, but she really wanted to do it, and she waited nicely, so Moana it is.) I think we will hold off on jedi training until the little one is older too. Thanks for the advice!
