How much time for O'Hana

We are planning on going to O'Hana on our MK day for a 5pm PS. How much time do I need to get to the Poly via the Monorail and how much time should we plan on being at the restaurant? Will there be time to go back to MK and enjoy the rest of the evening? We are going in August.

Also, is it true I can order kids meals for my very picky DS5 and DD7?

I would anticipate being at the Poly around 4:40 to check in. There will be a line forming already by that time. I would anticipate at least 10-15 minutes to get to the Poly from the MK. Could be longer if they hold the monorail for any reason.

It generally takes us an hour to eat dinner and become sufficently stuffed. The larger the group and the more kids you have the longer it might take. Even then the longest I have been in there is around 2 hours and that was with a group of ~20 with 4 kids running around.

There will still be time to go back to the MK and play around after dinner without a problem. I think (without actually checking) the closings in August are probably around 9:00.

Yes you can order "kids" meals if you need to. Just ask your server about this and they will let you know what selections you have.

You can also take the boat service from the MK over to the Poly. Instead of walking up to the monorail, just walk straight ahead to the dock and find the sign that says which boat goes there. The kids really enjoyed it.

You can order kids meals, we did it for my son when we were there. He got a cheeseburger and fries. Our waiter made a deal w/ him and told him if he tried some of the meats then he would get the kids meal and my son tried it all and loved the steak.

We had a 500 seating last week. We were done eating by 545. We were not rushed at all. They started bringing out the skewers abt 15 minutes after we recieved our appetizers. We were able to catch the fire dancer in the torch lighting ceremony in front of the lobby at 6pm. we were in the mk by 630.

please help me. I made PS for O'hana's because I keep hearing it is great. Can someone tell me excatly what they serve adn what it is really like?
I have a very picky 11 yr olf who only eats chicken tenders. Sounds like I can get him that ordered?

We ordered chicken strips for my son at Ohana in March. It came with fries.

You can go to this site to see what's on the menu. http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_oh.htm

Everything there is sooo yummy, I could make a meal out of the appetizers by themselves. My DD10 loves the shrimp the best, I like the turkey and the pork and my DH loves it all. Cant wait to eat there in 20 days and counting

We had a 5pm seating last week and the service was quick. Last May we ate there at like 8pm and it took over an hour, but this time the service was great. They sat us at a seat right by the window, too, and I didn't even request it.
