How much time does it take to get "in" a park?

If you arrive at MK how long does it take to get from the TTC, through security and in the park? In general, how much time do you allow to get through security, and is this before or after you are allowed in the park?

I say about 30 min give or take.

Security bag check is befor you get in the park.

But it maybe longer with big crowds.

depends to much on time of year and time of day - can be as short as 5 minutes to 15 to get through security - have you bags open and ready to search...makes it quicker

can't help you with TTC transfer times - I have never been through the TTC

ask on the transportation board perhaps....

We were almost always at the front of the line when they started and it took less than 5 minutes to get through security and the ticket machines.
They are very fast, but definitely have your bag opened and also if your camera is in it's own bag within your bag (mine was) have it open as well.
When going up to the ticket machine, have your card out and ready to pop in.

Not if you take a bus from your resort.

Which resort? Most resorts bus directly to MK, completely bypassing TTC. I think you would only go near the TTC to get to MK if you are staying at Poly, but I don't know that for sure as I didn't make it there

no - monorail direct to MK from poly - you can walk to TTC to get the EPCOT monorail - but go right through a side gate to the monorail...

Just prepare by having your bag open and your tickets ready, if its during a slow time (like we always go) it should take you no time at all.

no - monorail direct to MK from poly - you can walk to TTC to get the EPCOT monorail - but go right through a side gate to the monorail...

There is no direct monorail from the Poly to the MK - from the Poly, the resort monorail stops first at the GF before stopping at the MK.

Another option to the MK from the Poly is the Gold Flag motor launch from the Poly dock on 7 Seas Lagoon.

30 minutes is very much an overstatement. It is only a matter of minutes. Even during the busier times, if you have your backpack off and have everything open and ready to go, you will be through in no time.
Longest I ever waited, at Christmas, was about 7 minutes. My friend said she waited 10 minutes on NYE.

30 min was in reference to getting from TTC and into MK, not just going through bag check.

Sorry I was thinking in the ways like getting on the boat then off the boat
Or monorail then walk to the bag check then into the park.

Yes the bag check go's fast 3-5 min.
