How much time do the DVC sellers take?

We have seen the Timeshare sellers at most of the resorts. If we decided to talk with them, how much time would it take?

We talked to the people in the DVC booths first - about 5 minutes. They set up at time to talk to a guide. She talked with us for about 30 min. A few minutes later the paperwork was ready for our signature. That took another 15-30 min to complete.

mind took longer - now I would have been out of there in 30 minutes too - but since I decided to buy - the sales person went over every single document and it took around 3 hours - before I could sign.... then I canceled that contract - boy worst mistake I ever make. but I got another contract within 7 months that I still love!!!!

dony worry about the time when you are there make sure everything is right.
if you have kids dont worry they will have a great time my kid didnt want to leave.

The people in the booths are there for the sole purpose of getting you signed up to take the tour. They will chat with you for as long as you want though. I often chat with them for afe wminutes if I have time to kill...sometimes you hear some "insider" scoop that way. I will also go up if I see another tourist looking at the stuff and tell them of my positive experience with DVC..maybe I should ask for commission!

The tour can take as long or as short as you want. We took the tour in 1997, and there was a short propaganda film and a short Q&A period, then we were split off to different guides to discuss details. It wasn't a hard sell...at least not our guide. He was very nice and low key, answered all our questions, didn't bug us when we got home. All together, between the propaganda and talking to the guide, we were probably there about 2 hours.
