how much time at universal?

I posted this on the disney theme park board... but this might be a better spot..

Just trying to figure out if we should spend 2days at universal on our next trip in sept. We are going to disney for 8days. I really wanted to plan a lot of "down time" for us because we will be going with our 3yr old and 1yr old. Last time we went in sept we only spent 1 day at universal, but we only went to islands of adventure. Is there a lot at the other universal park. I really only want to do 1 day at universal... but I think my brother and his girlfriend were thinking we might need 2. Thanks!

We spent a day in each park and hit Harry potter land both days. It was November and the crowds were low. Next trip were are already saying we'll set aside 3 days for universal, we enjoyed it so much.

I think one day is plenty with kids that age, and I'd just do IoA.

Universal requires a minimum of two days.
