It seems like whenever I turn around I "need" something else for the vacation. Sport sandals, little backpack or messenger, clothes, etc... How much stuff do you buy for your vacation
How much stuff did you buy just for your Disney vacation?

Well, I like to call it my "Summer Shopping". I keep telling DH that DS5 has outgrown his clothes from last Summer, so he needs new...and if some of them just happen to be Disney 
(Okay, so two pairs of Disney PJ's, a Buzz backpack, Disney aqua socks, a few t-shirts later and I am still going.) Plus, we have to have things like shampoo and sunscreen and well, the list just keeps going.

Disney store and got an Areil one for me and Dash for DH

What started out as just needing a few things like new shoes and a pair of shorts has turned into a new summer wardrobe,new luggage,backpack, etc. I can't go into a store without buying something for the trip. It's really crazy because I don't think I would have bought half of the stuff if I were going somewhere else. I think I can justify it by saying I will use most of this stuff all summer long at home. At least that's what I'm telling myself

No way I could list it all! New sneakers for DD and me, new socks for the entire family, LOTS of travel size bottles & tubes of everything, plus a special trip to Bath & Body Works for their travel size stuff. New jeans and shorts for me, new shorts for DD, new fanny packs for DD & me, sunglasses, oh yeah - new glasses and prescription sunglasses for me!
Obviously, not all of that is JUST for Disney, but I justified doing all the purchasing prior to going because we needed it for our trip!

I am doing really good this year. So far i have bought a new Mac stroller, 2 new diaper bags, new camera, new summer wardrobe, and will get eveyone new walking shoes before we go I have done worse with our former trips !!

Well, we are over 30 days out and so far I've bought all my film (20 some rolls), two new bathing suits for DD, an Asian baby carrier, a whole bunch of summer clothes for DD. Haven't even started on the little stuff. I keep my travel medicine cabinet (tylenol, infant tylenol, Benadryl, bandaids, stuff for may bad back, etc) packed and ready through out the year. When I was moving some stuff around today, I found my hand-sanitizer and thought I need to remember to throw that in the suitcase.
We are unpacking from our trip to San Diego and as I find stuff I'll need for Disney I just throw it in. I'll organize it later.
My mother who is traveling with us has started her shopping as well. She also has 20 some roll of film, a small insulated bag that can be a cooler, games, books, toys, etc for the kids in the car.
Oh, I bought a new mini-van two months ago because my "Disney suitcases" didn't fit in the station wagon with the double stroller. Also, the van had a DVD player so we could watch movies on the way to Disney. It also has satellite radio so I don't have to constantly search for stations. It is sad when you base your vehicle purchase on your Disney obsession. Oh well, I'm a minivan momma now. Can't wait to get there to pick out my antenna topper

We decided we needed to have New Teeshirts for Disney. So we bought a bunch of plain white and some colored shirts, we're doing Iron On's with pictures from past vacations and pictures we come across in Magazines or websites. The only Rule is...If it's not DISNEY related, it's not allowed.
I also decided that I had to have every color sharpie marker ever made, because Black is just to boring.
* No more 20 - 25 disposable cameras for me...now..it's 2 maybe 3 memory cards for the digital camera.
* I had to have new socks and unmentionable mentionables for disney, wouldn't be caught without the whitey tydies.
* Had to buy new bottle of sunscreen, bug repellent, lotion, med's, curling iron (what ever do I need another one for, already have 4 useable ones). Had to buy new shoes, shorts, socks, you name it...I think I got it covered.
I even have a special watch just for the Disney Trip...I just hope I get meet Grumpy...He'd be so proud of me...

Funny this thread appeared!!! I have been asking myself how in the world I have accumulated sooooooo many "vacation necessities"!!! I started off with some new duds for DS7 and DD3, which then turned into more for DS 19 months, 'cuz I felt guilty not buying him some new stuff! Then, the Chadwick's catalog free gift shopping extravaganza began 
and I went a bit off the edge for awhile there, so I got some new clothes as well and DH then jumped on the crazy mommy shopping bandwagon and I began picking up things for him! Then, the biggy was a new Chicco double stroller two weeks ago that ended up being cheaper for us than rent a double in Disney...Now, we are 1+ day away from departure and I have stuffed our suitcases AND already shipped a box of "essentials" to our resort earlier this week! "When will the madness end?", I have begun asking myself!!! (As well as DH!!!! ) Oh, well, I am almost packed and ready to go, FINALLY!!!!!

well besides all of the travel size items and assorted medicines and bandages and the new wardrobe for the 4 of us, this is the first trip that we didnt have to buy anything really expensive for our trip. one trip we bought a portable dvd player to entertain the kids while traveling and during downtime, another trip we needed some more luggage and a digital camera, this last trip we bought a digital videocam. so this trip we have more money to spend at WDW

It's scary how much we need to buy!
First of all we already bought a nice digital camera for the trip.
Both kids grew since last summer, so they need new clothes. I shrank a little since last summer, so I need new clothes. Hubby doesn't need much. We all need shoes (big expense there!). Other than that:
