How much spending money?

I'm going to WDW this Summer and I'm just wondering how much spending money I will roughly need? I'm on the dining plan which includes a QS meal, TS meal and a snack a day, and I'll be doing an order from Garden Grocer for breakfast items. So really I'm thinking I'll just need money for tips and any souvenirs.. I was thinking £500 converted to dollars but my friend said I'll need lots more, so I'm not sure. Any advice?

How many are in your party. Tips for TS meal will be Aprox $7 per adult and $3 per child per meal so 14 days for a family of 4 would be about $300(£200).
I usually take £500 plus tip money for my family of 2adukts and 4 children.

There's 4 of us, me, my mum and my 2 little cousins. The kids will have their own spending money off their mum and me and my mum will pay the tips so I think I should be good with £500 or even a little less (we're going for 12 nights and one of our TS meals is going to be CRT which includes the tip in the price). Thank you :)

It really depends on how much you like to shop!

I guess £500 would be enough but if your having a couple f shopping trips make sure you take a credit card in case you see something you really want!

I'm not a big shopper.
I always seem to take too much spending money when I go on holiday, and then have lots left over when I return which I lose out on when I try to exchange back to GBP.
It's just finding a happy balance lol x

I was thinking around about £500 worth, plus I've got a giftcard to pick up at the airport. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I get tips money for Bell Services when they take me to my room at the resort

That reminds me I have the free $200 gift card that was offered as well.

I was wondering that too. When I change my sterling into dollars at the TA, can I ask for $30 in $1 dollar bills etc?

It may well be different for the US so apologies if I'm wrong! but usually you can't get currency in the lowest denominations from a TA. I usually just split a larger note by buying a bottle of water or something at the airport :)

Good tip, thanks :)

It depends where you get the cash from but ive had no problem getting $1 and $5 bills from M&S and post office :)
