How much pregnancy weight did you gain?

With DD14 I gained 23 pounds, she weighed 9 and 1/2

With DS9 I gained 45 pounds, he weighed 8 lbs 12oz.-2 weeks early (induced because they said he was going to be over 10lbs.)

*I had soooo much swelling when I was pregnant with DS9, my toes looked like little sausages and my ankles were huge.

I gained about 30. I think it was a bit much but all I craved all the time was pizza! My DD was born 6 pounds 9 ounces.
She'll be a year old next week and I've got 6 pounds left to lose :woohoo:

#1--Weighed 135 Gained 60--Baby weighed 7lbs 7oz
#2--Weighed 170 Lost 15--Baby weighed 7lbs 10oz
#3--Weighed 135 Gained 20--Baby weighed 7lbs 3oz
#4--Weighed 145 Gained 30--Baby weighed 7lbs 7oz

My second pregnancy was horrible. My first I threw up 13 times my entire pregnany. The second I was lucky if it was 13 times a day. I was constantly in the hospital for dehydration, which caused me to pass out all the time.

With my fourth I was on bedrest for 7 months because of placenta previa with a placental abruption.

I gained 20-something, but 10 of that was baby! I think the rest was water weight because I left the hospital at approximately my pre-preggo weight.

I gained 35ish with my first.

DS1 was only 5 months old when I got pregnant with DS2- so I lost hardly any of that weight. Amazingly, I gained 25lbs with DS2 and weighed 7lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight after delivery. That was awesome :rotfl: My OB told me I was doing "excellent" and I had no idea what she was talking about until she told me I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant for #2. I had severe polyhydramnios with #2, though, so between him and the fluid that was almost all the extra weight.

She didn't bring up my weight with either pregnancy and when I asked she said she only brings it up if it's a concern.

DS1 was 9lbs5oz, DS2 was 10lbs15oz. They were both 39weekers.

18 pounds with my DD, and 12 pounds with DS... My doctor told me anything over 20#'s was mine to keep. I actually weighed more after DS was born due to water weight etc...

I gained 35 lbs or so with the first one, and about 30 with the second. The second was born at 35 weeks. I've been underweight my entire life and struggled really hard to gain that much. I was hoping I'd keep a little of it, but I lost most of it within 2 weeks both times.

I gained about 20 lbs even for each of my 2 DS's. I was probably underweight with both of them when I got pregnant as I weighed only 120 lbs when I delivered and I'm just under 5'4". I now weigh about that and I'm NOT pregnant!!!

Tru dat. I lost 20 pounds after both my pregnancies and kept the rest! Still have it too..... :headache:

32 lbs with first DS (6lb 8oz)
27 lbs with second DS (7lb 15oz)

Had them when I was 23 and 26. They're now 24 and 27.

I weighed 110 when I got pregnant with both. Lost all the weight in 6 months with both. Hit 40, started gaining and I now weigh more than I did when 9 months pregnant. :rotfl:

I gained 27 lbs with DD-and a figure!! Woo Hooo!!

But I have a questions and it might be me, my NY Resolution was no more caffeine, and it's tough.

You got a book in high school about pregnancy and the weight gain? :confused3 And are you pregnant? Because you're ticker is confusing me-are you counting down to go buy/take a test? Or have you taken one and you're counting your pregnancy in hours? :confused3

For the mamas pregnant now, the very cool thing is that breastfeeding helps you drop the weight gain super fast. So, me being already overweight and losing weight in pregnancy was wild for me as I drop even more weight after my babies are born. :thumbsup2

I gained 16# with DS and 8 years later I gained 12# with DD. Both babies were 7-9 and 20". I was average weight before both pregnancies but always seemed to gain excess weight in the preschool years (most likely from finishing off the grilled cheese and PB&J scraps). With the second baby, I never lost it:eek:

I am 5 ft 2 inches tall and weighed 125 lbs when I got pregnant. I gained 20 lbs with my first pregnancy and 15 lbs with my second. I also worked with a nutritionist who taught me how to eat and exercise properly during my pregnancies, so I think that helped tremendously. After the kids were born, I had no problem losing the baby weight plus some.

FYI : individual results may vary. That little trick doesn't work for everyone. :rolleyes1

I was 110 lbs and gained 65 lbs with my first and 112 lbs and gained 55 lbs with my second. I did have pre-eclampsia with my first, so I had a lot of water weight (very, very swollen). I did lose all but 5 lbs both times by the time they were 4 months old.

I was 120 before first pregnancy and I gained 16 pounds with my first and 12 pounds with my second. I am 5'3'' and now weigh between 115-118 lbs. I lost my weight fairly quickly due to not gaining a large amount. My doctor wasn't concerned and never mentioned the 25-35 guideline as I was smaller to begin with. He actually also mentioned the over 20 is for me, not the baby lol! My children were 6 lb 5 oz and 6 lb 10 oz and healthy. I think each person gains differently and there really shouldn't be a 'one size fits all' weight gain guideline as long as mom and baby are doing great.:goodvibes
