How much lower will resale prices go?

Some of these prices seem so low....BWV in the upper 40's and 50's.

For those more knowledgeable with all of this, if the resale prices begin to fall, do you think DVC will begin to exercise ROFR more at all resorts not just BCV? I wonder if they will even continue to hold the prices at BCV or if they will allow this resort's resale price to fall too??

Should be interesting what happens....hard to even speculate.

Not if they can't sell the points they are buying back. It wouldn't make economic sense to do so.

If there are a lot more sellers than buyers, prices will drop. There's no way around it.

I think this is part of the reason for the March 20th changes. Disney can't stop the fall of resale prices, so they had to do something to make direct sales more desirable or risk losing more and more people to the resale market.

Most timeshare buyers don't know about resales, DVC included. With that being said, though, I would venture that the percentage of those interested in DVC that are aware of a resale market is significantly higher than those interested in other timeshare communities. Because of the parks, movies, etc, there are many more on-line Disney communities where people share info compared to Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, etc.

I think the resale market will take time to correct itself. Personally, I'm trying to be patient and pick up another contract if the prices fall much further. Though my feelings are mixed because I don't want the value of my SSR to drop too low!

I haven't noticed much if a difference in prices. I wonder if the prices will slowly go down

I just recently sold all my points. For the most part I lost money but not much. I lost the most on my Vero Beach contracts and my AKV contracts. I made minimal profit on my BCV contracts and two of my three OKW contracts. I broke even on BLT. Most of my contracts were sold with a years worth of banked points so I lost out on that money.
