Sent in the rest of our downpayment and all the paperwork on Friday. So how much longer till we are official members? And then we can make our first reservation as DVC members. I have posted alot of questions to you all and have gotten great answeres, thanks to you all. I had to log in as a new user because I couldn't find my name, anyway HERE WE GO!!!!!!

If you are buying direct from Disney, they will have your member #and you can make a ressie now - you just can't bank or borrow until you close your contract.

WELCOME HOME AND CONGRATS!!!! Dosen't this feel great?!! I think what happens next is they send you a credit approval letter (assuming you financed and bought through Disney) and then you just wait for your deed to close (approx. 1 month). Then you are all set but I think you can consider yourself official now! HURRAY!!!

Also they do not start processing your stuff until 15 days after the date you had your paper work notarize. This is because you have 15 days to back out of the transaction. Kem is exactly right, if you are purchasing from Disney direct, you can have you guide call MS and make a reservation using your regular points. If you need to bank points or borrow points, you will have to wait until you close.

Look on your copy of the paperwork, there is an expected close date on one of the pages. I believe it is on the deed.

We just got our letter letting us know we're official yesterday!!!!! If you don't need to borrow any points, you should be able to make a ressie with no difficulty. If you need to borrow points, contact your guide for assistance.
