How much is your cable bill?

Currently pay $45 for a 200/20 with cable. I also pay $120 for another 18mbps and 300 channels on att uverse.

I just called Comcast and they took the price down 35 dollars a month for 24 months with a 2 year agreement. It's for exactly everything I have now.

We live in Williamstown and our neighborhood does not have Fios but the next neighborhood over about three blocks down does?! Go figure !!

I think it is 148.00. I have no choice, we need the internet for business, the land line as I don't have a cell phone and fine with that. And of course cable.

$196 a month // includes internet, landline, expanded basic cable, one DRV and two $10 tier upgrades (one to get the Hallmark channel and a cooking channel DH likes) and one to get the tennis channel (sad tennis is the only sport we watch, but we have to get the sports tier to get that channel). Our provider is Charter Communications. There are actually only 15 channels we care about. Looking at alternatives, though, sure they would be cheaper, but we could only get eight of the 15 channels we care about there when I did some research. I looked into cutting the cord because of the high price, but decided against it in order to keep channels that we do enjoy. Also, we don't have an overly tight budget.

The younger generation (we have a son who is 21) don't seem to watch cable TV. He gets content from Netflix and Apple TV and buys/rents movies from Apple on occasion.

I am anxious to see what the ATT/Direct tv new pricing I keep hearing about will be. Right now I pay right under $200 for mid tier cable, HBO, highest internet, and 2 boxes with DVRs. A few years ago I got mad a how much we were paying and went with comcast. I hated it and went back to U-verse as soon as I could. We also have amazon prime for the shipping and nexflix for the shows they offer. I watch more TV than most people because I am at home in a wheelchair and no longer drive. My kids are older now and don't watch much TV, but my DH will watch the sports channels when he gets home. Another reason we keep the mid-tier cable.

96 for Direct TV with DVR & 4 additional boxes. We don't have the movie channels. Also pay 43 for DSL & 8.99 for Netflix.

Can someone explain Playstation Vue with regards to cable tv? I'm not a savvy computer person and some of these options sound way too complicated for me!

Here is one of the better sites that explain Vue as well as sling. since it was written in March, I assume all details are pretty much correct....it is a long, long, article, but it is complete.

As for me, I am sticking with my dozen or so stations and my roof-top antenna for $0 per month.

Oh, make sure to read some of the 130 comments after the article. Especially the top comment, apparently Sling has expanded it's offerings (as the writer indicated would happen in the main article).

$195 for basic home phone, internet, and whatever cable package gets us the sports networks. I think cable itself is around $100 of that cost. We are going to drop the home phone but not sure it'll matter much because of discounts.

I pay $118 a month for cable + high speed internet. I also have Netflix and Prime. Wish I could cut the cord, but can't because of hockey. A dish isn't an option because I live in an apartment building, and my antenna coverage is useless.

TWC and pay $108 for cable with no premium channels, high speed internet with the transfer speed of 20.

$230/mo. Includes every channel available on the system and premiums (HBO and Showtime), DVR (we only have 1 tv In the house currently but could have up to 4 separate boxes on this plan), the highest speed wifi available here and our home phone. PPVs are extra - $6.99 for new releases; we rent a couple a month.

South Jersey here..Voorhees. We pay $133 a month for FIOS which includes comcast sportsnet , NFL sunday ticket, MLB and NBA channel, 2 DVR boxes, HD, HBO, Epix and Starz plus internet. We are so happy with FIOS. We are happy to sign a contract every two years and are locked in until 2018 at that price.

$50 for internet and $9.99/month for Netflix, and have a rooftop antenna. Haven't had cable TV since 2006 and I don't miss it even one little bit. My parents in MD are paying almost $300/month for cable, phone and internet and frankly, it's hundreds of channels of crap. I just could never watch enough TV to justify that. They watch 2-5 of their hundreds of cable channels... my dad wants to cut the cord but I think my mom thinks it's some kind of social taboo not to have it.

I think I am paying about $140 for Verizon Fios, Hudson County NJ btw, for basic internet and cable on just one regular box. It started at like $79 5 years ago and they increase it every so often which is annoying. I need to call in and renegotiate with them as we also have direct tv in my area and I believe we might have comcast too so I think I am getting ripped off considering new customers can get better packages. I know if I drop to say just internet the cost of one item goes up, so the last I checked it was only going to save us $20-30 a month to cut cable which we use all the time. We have amazon prime and netflix but prime is for ordering items and netflix my husband uses on his phone while commuting so its not really an added cost.

My mother just renegotiated and she started by saying her equipment was old and wanted an upgrade to new items as she thought they were faulty. They agreed and then she said she mentioned that she knows new customers pay less, she is paying $140 in central NJ for 2 boxes, a router, and has free hbo/showtime for 2 years. This thread is great as its a way to run numbers to compare to what I might be able to get, collective bargaining so to say :)

We pay $39.95 for Comcast internet. Been the same price for the last 10 years. We use Ooma for phone service. It is about $5 per month.

We have Sudenlink and our bill is nearly 200 a month. For internet 2 DVR. We are trying to do away with.cable. Just doing Netflix and July and getting a good antenna.
