How Much is your 2015 Vacation going to cost you?

Coming from Australia and going to a couple of other places as well, so a lot :)
Our dollar has just taken a nose dive and is predicted to nose dive further still :headache:

I just budget $200 for food a day, and a further $150 per day for souvenirs/transport etc. last time we didn't spend this, and came home with money, this was at DLR and surrounds though.

Flights within the USA worked out to AU$640.70 pp (4 flights)

Will most likely stay at Cabana for 3 nights, unsure what US tickets we want.
Will most likely stay at a Value resort WDW for 8 nights, unsure what tickets we want, probably 5 day base tickets.
We will be going to the Kennedy Space Centre when at WDW, and wherever else takes our fancy. Have budgeted all of the above using rack rates.

Then at home there are kennel and cattery fees......

Traveling is an expensive hobby :rotfl:

July 8/days, 7 nights total

6 days/5 nights
3 adults & DS 16
CSR Jr. Suite + 5 day PH + DDP = $5,587

3 days/2 nights
Universal Royal Pacific + 2 day P to P tickets = $1,400
Food at Universal = $250

Airfare Estimate = $1,000
Town Car to Universal & Return to MCO = $200

Total $8,437 + tips and souvenirs

Would love a discount, but for this trip, I'm splitting the cost, so my portion is manageable. If I had to pay the entire cost, our choices would be much different.

Late August/Early September 2 Adults, 2 Children.

6 nights Poly, 7 day base tickets - $2547.18
Food, Souvenirs, BBB, and Memory maker ~ $1,200
Driving - Gas ~ $250
1 night each hotel on the way down and back ~ $200 worth of hotel points

~$4,000 plus ~$200 in hotel points.

Are you getting a room discount? That seems like a really good deal for the Poly! I booked POR w/ 7 day park hopper and free dining which was $2400 but would switch to the Poly for the price you have!

Well we're staying for 22 nights so hotels will be $7000 plus our wedding package is $5000 or there abouts plus flights are generally about $1000... So at least $13000 from August 7th to the 30th. That's without any discounts though and there are usually room only discounts for that time period.

April 17-25 BLT
April 26-May 1 DCL Fantasy out of Miami
May 2-4 Disney Vero Beach

2 adults, we are driving due to the extended nature and locations of our trip. We are DVC so all rooms are covered. I did book 1 room on the way down and 1 on the way home but I was able to use hotel points and only paid tax on each room which was less than $9 each night. Booked our cruise the day the bookings opened and got a great deal $1157 for a 5 night. Ordered tickets from undercover tourist and will up grade to DVC AP so about $1k. We are foodies so plan on $1500 (food will be covered on the cruise and we eat breakfast in our room), tips and excursions, a little pocket money and we are figuring about $5000.

This doesn't include our Garden Grocer order, that is part of our normal grocery budget.

Almost forgot to include my December trip with DD25. December 18 to 24 at BLT. DVC so room covered, I have an AP but DD tickets from Undercover Tourist was $358, flights about $300 each, food about $400 each. Throw in tips and pocket change about $1k for me and $1400 for DD.

Yes. We had originally booked CSR with FD, but for the same price (I think 16 cents extra), but without FD, we were able to switch to the Poly instead. FD was a good deal, but figured it was worth it to pay for dining out of pocket and switch from CSR to the Poly.

For my mom and I:
7 day park hopper passes at POFQ on a BB offer with free dining = $2450 (1225/person)

We are going Sept 17-25th and adding 3 days before our package to do the beach, SeaWorld, and Gatorland. We plan on staying either in Kissimmee or I-Drive (hoping to keep it under $80/night.... and/or utilize other resources ;) )... so that is an additional $240 + admission to both parks and beach parking. I think total with meals OOP, the additional days and WITH airfare we're looking at ~$3200... Not bad!

ETA: I think that is a low estimate. I didnt add up MNSSHP or OOP food and wine fest. Ah well... as it comes together more I'll make it more definitive.

Oh the difference having 5 Disney "Adults" makes in the cost of a trip (I'm a little jealous of the prices posted for trips that involve just *four* people).

June 14-21

Nemo Suite @ AoA with 7-day PH tickets: $5150

Estimate for food (based on previous trips): $1225

Souvenirs: $500 (that will probably increase because DH always insists that I need a new Dooney & Bourke purse/bag or a new piece of jewelry...and who am to argue???? :rotfl:)

Travel costs: $700 (gas & 2 hotel nights)

Total cost: $7725

Hoping for a discount but don't think we'll save more than $750 at most even with a discount. <sigh>

UPDATE 3/19: We were lucky enough to get the summer PIN discount and save about $800 -- 15% off our room and free park hopper option on our tickets. That brought the price of room and tickets down to $4350 and the total estimate to just a little under $7000. :yay:

I am hoping I will be able to take advantage of a room discount instead of FD. ( it was a BB offer) We just got back last week and had the free dining, which was great because we brought our 4 year old nephew and did all character meals for our sit downs, but we also left with 7 QS meals remaining(between 3 adults) Next year it will be just me and my husband and we probably won't do any character meals so I would love to get a discount and stay at a deluxe resort and pay OOP for food instead. I called today for pricing on all the deluxe just for the fun of it and they are all double what we will pay for POR.
