How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

We're going 12/7 - 12/13

POR RGR Garden View, 2 adults 1 12yrold, park hopper tickets, Reg Dining $2723

1 adult, 1 child(7)
7 nights at Pop- 568.00
YES tix: 8 day PH w/WP- 440.00 :woohoo:
Airfare(DCA-ORD): 405.00
Food: Since I'm taking her to every character meal known to man, 500.00:scared1::scared1::scared1:
So, about 2k.
We would have saved some on food by getting free dining, but that was offset by the tix we'd have to buy and the discount I got as a bounceback on POP.
Plus, we would have had to pay OOP for 2(at least) of the meals we have booked.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my granddaughter, the princess lover.
Then there's the souvenirs. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

American airlines air from Phoenix: $377.20 each
MYW with dining, 8 day PH, water view POFQ 7 nites:$2206.60
Same as it has been every September and January for as long as I can remember. Doesn't seem to matter what type of ticket/package we purchase the WDW lodging/dining portion is always a pretty static $2200. Actually the air never varies much either. I'm sure there has been variation over the past 20 yrs., but I've only been tracking the past 6 years or so.
Forgot to add we are 2 adults/no kids
We usually manage to send another 500-1,000.00 OOP (gifts, drinks, Dooney & Bourke)

Total=Too much!!!! :)

Man, I feel like i am missing something somewhere!

8 days, 7 nights @ BEach Club Villas-2 bedroom w/ park hopper. $7200.00
Airfaire for 5 from KC to Orlando was 1800.00
Rental car for the week (Jeep Grand Cherokee thru Alamo-this was my one good deal!) $260.00
Figure about $2000.00 for food and whatever else.

11,260.00!
Hoping for some sort of deals but none yet that fit our trip.

Oh Well. Its for my daughter (second trip) and two neices who have never been there. Can't put a price on great memories can you...

:) We're in the same boat, but don't worry, BCV will be so nice you won't mind the price tag!

We used to have less expensive vacations, but then we stayed at the Poly, and now they're much more expensive.:lmao: The good news is the ability to hop on a monorail, or walk anywhere, (international gateway for you will be awesome!) makes it all worthwhile.

3 adult & 1 child AP = $2200.00
5 adult & 1 child 5-day MYW ticket = $1500.00
Fuel (diesel) for the 1900 mile round trip for 4 of us (based on $4.25 per gal.) = $210.00
Airfare for 6 (estimated) = $1500.00
3 rooms @ ASmo(hoping for AP discount, figure without) = $2400.00
Dining = $3300
Souveniers = $1100.00

Grand total - $12,000.00+

A week at the happiest place on earth with family = Priceless :grouphug:

/
It's DH, DD1, and myself, staying 6 days, 5 nights.

Airfare - $520, roundtrip, for two.
Airport Parking - $60, roughly.
Hotel - $1100, AKL Pool View.
Park Tickets - $380, roughly, for a 2-Day MYW.

So, we are talking roughly $2060 before food.

AOA for 6 nights- around $2000
Tickets for 4 adults 2 kids Park hoppers for 7 days- $1900 ish
We drive so figure gas plus hotels along the way- about $1000? Maybe less like $800.

So before food and souvies we've spent $4700:scared1: And this is a budget trip.........Good news is all of the above except food and transportation is paid for.

December 22 - January 1
Art of Animation Resort
Six adults - 2 LM standard rooms
10 day park hopper w/ water park and more
Disney dining plan

$10,081.04

Airfare from Columbus Ohio
$2,160

$1,500 for extras/souvenirs

Total:
$13,741.04

2 adults, 1 toddler (18mo):
airfare for 3 (we got her a seat): $299.60x3= $898.80
6 Nights @ AoA Nemo suite + 6-day MYW base: $2995.22

doesnt include food or spending money, which will likely amount to $1500ish.

Total: $5993.02

WAY way more than we've ever spent before, but with the baby being so little and going to sleep so early I just felt like the suit would be an easy way for us to put her down at night and still be able to hang out for a while without waking her up. And airfare is not only about $100 more expensive per person, but we've never paid for her before!

2 adults - October 16-28th 2012

Dolphin 12 nights, king room - about 2300 $ with taxes and fees
2x 10-day hoppers - about 700 $
Flight (Ottawa-Orlando) - about 950 $
Town car transfer - about 100 $

So we're looking at about 4000 $ not including food. We've been going 2 years in a row, but we are going to skip it for the next few years.

Our next "big" trip will be a month long stay...We're doing a split stay between the King Kamehameha suite at the Poly and Admiral Suite at the YC. We're doing 15 nights at each. The Poly stay will total $37,350 ($2490 per night). The YC stay will be $26,850 ($1790 per night).

We fly privately and that cost is $2000/hour, so roughly $12,000 for the total flight.

As for food, we have a "big" meal planned every other day. We are a family of 6. I'm thinking a rough estimate for food, maybe $350 per day to average out when we eat at character meals and when we don't....So, food costs is $10,500.

Our annual tickets are already purchased.

We also rent a vehicle, which will cost us about $4000 for the month.

So, total is about $100,000 on this trip once you add in souvenirs and other surprise costs. This is the first time we have EVER stayed this long and it will probably be the last time for a little while. I'm afraid my family will get bored being there so long, but it's something my husband and I have always wanted to do!!

I realize this is certainly not the "average" of what people spend at Disney on their vacations.

:) Sounds wonderful! Can honestly say I'm jealous - and hope to one day do the same thing!

I am looking at how much people are spending for rooms and most go every year or so, why dont you look into DVC in the long run you will be saving .........

We did look into DVC - and ALMSOt purchased, but changed our minds within the 10 day waiting period.

Honestly we really wouldn't be saving that much money - and it would take at least 12 vacations for us to break-even. first, we enjoy the dining plan, we enjoy the aspects of being 'guests' vs being 'home'. I don't cook or clean on vacation.

Also for the vacations we like to take we'd need at least 360 points to make it doable, but at least 500 to make DVC feel like 'an upgrade' in our vacations style. At that price point our dues alone would make it so it's only slightly less expensive than paying OoP - plus the fact that we'd have to finance we'd be looking at our yearly cost for 5-10 years being almost identical to what we pay now - though it might 'feel' different, and be spread out over a year vs scrounging up last second the way we typically do - it would still take a while to make it 'worth it'. Then to top it off - and the deal breaker to our children, we LOVE the Poly - and it isn't worth it to convert points to stay at the Poly from a DVC resort.

And to top it off - our family can stay in a regular guest room at a regular Disney resort - but we need a 2 bdrm villa in a DVC - we love the space in the Poly, the number of beds, but we really don't need to have a vacation 'home' the same size as the house we live in at home. And after 30+ trips to Disney, I STILL love spending the majority of the time int he parks,s o I really wouldn't even benefit front he extra space.

Just my .02

First of all, how lucky! I'm sure you will all have an amazing time :)

and

:scared1: HOLY MOLY!!! :scared1: Just your flight cost alone would finance my dream Disney vacation AND THEN SOME! My upcoming trip costs less than your car rental for the month. :)

Do your kids need a nanny during this vacation? I can provide my services for free! :rotfl:

More than I thought it would...For 2 adults, 1 toddler.

9 Day, 8 Night at POP $665 ( I have a 30% PIN -- BARGAIN!)
6 Day Park Hoppers $904 (Undercover Tourist)
Airfare $880

3 Tickets for MVMCP $185ish
Pre-bought Souvenirs for DD (Disney Trinkets) $50
Souvenirs* $100 ( we aren't really big on Souvenirs)

I would really like to add Photo Pass, so I can be in some pictures. But I don't know if I want to pay that much!

*We do have a couple of gift cards, not much, we will probably use for additional Souvenirs.

Just a tip - you can give your camera to the Photopass photographers, too. So you can be in the picture AND save your money!

We can not wait for this trip!! I'm not sure who is more excited, me or my children? :)

No, no nanny, sorry! My parents actually own a vacation home nearby and, on the rare occasions when we want to dine at Victoria and Albert's, the kids will go with Grandma and Grandpa. :)

I hope your dream vacation becomes a reality very soon!!

We bought DVC for the purpose of being able to go often and stay in nice accommodations for our large family. We have owned for 2 years and taken 7 trips between us and our grown children, so it has paid for itself. The trip I am taking in August with my son and grandson will not be too bad. My grandson and I have annual passes I bought last summer, so that's paid for. Our OKW villa is on our points, so no cost there. We will have a full kitchen and I plan on cooking breakfast and having snacks to save money. My son paid for the airfare for all 3 of us, plus a rental car for off site part of the stay. I won a trip to Daytona and Orlando (no cost), and we split the cost of the Universal tix. Plus my son paid for his own park hopper ticket. Therefore, my cost for our upcoming two week trip to Daytona Beach, Orlando, and WDW will probably be about $1,000.
