How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

Got back a week ago and here are the results. Airfare 155.20 roundtrip for my wife and myself. Room 384.00 allstar sports and 120.00 spent for food and 120.00 for MNSSHP tickets. Had leftovet tickets from previous trip for the other days. Total cost for 2 people for 5 days and 4 nights $779.20. Not a bad deal!

Nov 11 - 15
2 adults, 4 nights at ASMO, 5 day myw tickets and free dinning - $1002
round trip flight for 2 from LAX to MCO $ 570
Grand total $1572

Dreams Unlimited Travel
Package: 11 nights king bed POFQ
Park hopper passes for 10 days
Regular dining plan = $4800

Round trip airfare approximately $700
Magical Express = free

Mouse keeping tips = $60
Miscellaneous tips = $20

Boarding for our 2 cats = $242

Two tickets for Cirque du Soleil = $250

Two tickets to Disney Quest = $80

Two tickets to DVMCP = $125

Two tickets to mini golf = $30

Out of pocket expenses for dining and drinks = $800

Souvenirs and gifts = $500

Miscellaneous = $500

Total approximately = $7500

LOL! I didn't even think about that!
We have a housesitter (she's less expensive than boarding two cats and a very large dog), so I guess we'll definitely hit the $10,000 mark on our trip. Boy, these little items start adding up. Airfare, hotel, food are just the start, aren't they? :)

2AD, 1 child POR Royal Guest Room Riverview 8da/7nights w/Dining Promo & MYW Tix - upgraded DD8 to 10 yr old - total 2632. Didn't add park hoppers yet, not sure and will add MVMCP. Airfare for the 3 of us from Ohio 882.00. Car rental 198.00. Week before Christmas.

Unfortunately, we don't have anyone to housesit. It is worth the cost. They get their own little condo and they get to play with other kitties. This is the longest we will be leaving them.

My husband's company is holding their annual Christmas party in Orlando this year. They'll pay for our air fare and two nights in a hotel in the Downtown Disney area. So we're tacking our trip onto that :)

Two adults, one child
Four day parkhopper tickets w/ military discount :$468
Four additional nights in our hotel w/ corporate discount: $400
Budgeted $150 per day for 3 days for meals (day four is per diem covered by his comapny) $450

So, $1318. Officially our most expensive Disney trip ever.

We are paying MUCH more than last year, but we won't be back next year and possibly the year after.

Oct 20-27
7 nights at POP plus 7 day park hopper and dining- $2164
Airfare- $620 (we used about $150 worth of rewards)
Pirate league, Pirate and pals- Approx. $180
Dessert Party- $60
Photopass +- $169
MNSSHP- $180

$3374 :crazy2:

We had budgeted $3000 so it's not that bad. The photopass was a last minute decision since we are doing the party and whatnot. I may cancel the dessert party, I am giving myself this week to decide. I also have $75 in gift cards for mics stuff.

Jan 2011 we spent $2400 for hotel, tickets, food, tips, airfare, and spending money.

2 adults all star movies
Dec. 14 -18
5 day park hopper
magic plus dining
airfare from new york
1800 total

I think that is a good price but I am unsure. I am hoping that I got a good deal? Any opinions on this?

I think that's pretty good. We went for our honeymoon @ pop for about $2000 including everything except a few souviners!

It baffles me that people can go to Disney every year, much less every decade!

It's been 30 years since our Honeymoon, so we did a big trip for our 30th anniversary, but here's what our cost was:

Contemporary, Magic Kingdom view, Eight day park hopper, deluxe dining, Triple A package-$6700

Airfare for the two of us was less than $500, through Southwest

Parking the car in Park N Fly for the week, about 70 bucks.

Nephew and wife housesit/catsit for the week, about 500 bucks.

Went with 125 on Disney Visa Redemption Card, and 15 dollar gift card for opening Disney VISA

Used all our meals and snacks, and charged some things to our room, leaving us with only 350 on our final room charge

No souvenirs, only about ten bucks in sodas from vending machine when came in late

Only two adults this trip.

Friend is going next month with her two kids, upgrading free dining to deluxe, staying at Caribbean, and is paying about half what I paid, no agent, just booked through Disney

Will probably be another 30 years before we can afford to go back again

there's your problem right there.

Kind of late on this thread but we went in September...5 people at POR...5 nights...5 basic park tickets....free deluxe dining...2 additional nights at the beach and 2 traveling hotels in Alabama...gas for 36 hours of driving...$500 for souvenirs and 5 days of wheelchair and stroller rental...total cost of 11 day trip $4500.

Space-A flight = $0
Car rental = $260
Polynesian Isles (7 nights) = $350
3x 4 day hopper tickets (military) = $468
2x MVMCP adults = $125
1 MVMCP child = $55
SeaWorld tickets (military) = $0
Dine with Shamu = $64
Food, gas, etc. ~ $700
Dog sitter = $0

Total = $2022

We are budgeteers, so even though the total is not too shabby for a WDW trip, I'm still sweatin':scared:

Ok here,my final breakdown;

Pop 9nights
8 day Myw base tickets
Free Qsdp
$1933.01
Gas from Pa=$300.00
Hotel for one night=$40.53
KTTK tour=$175.00
Behind the seeds tour=$35.00
Spending money=$300.00

Grand total $2783.00 for 11days

Here's our breakdown (for Dec 2012);

2 adults, 7 year old ds

7 nights AKL 1 Bedroom Value Villa - $2779
(could have saved $700 to $1000 by booking with Dave's but would have had to book much further out which we couldn't do)

Airfare - $1608 (ridiculously good deal from where we are flying from)

Park Passes - $850 (or up to $1125 if we add PH and WP & M, but we won't do that till we get there and check the weather - just buying the base tickets before we leave home)

Food and Souvenirs - $1400 ($200 a day for the 6 days on site and $100 for each of the travel days - should be on the high side and factors in about $200 in souvenirs)

Photo Pass Pre Purchase - $119

Total $6756.63

If that was paid for on a credit card you forgot to add the cost of the interest.

My next trip will cost $1,038.28 for 6 nites at a Value, free dining and for about $7 more I will upgrade our 2 day passes to AP's so we will be going back again in January and a couple of other times next year. Even when we lived in Indiana the costs were not that much more, sometimes less, including transportation.

One trip was either 24 or 28 days and cost about $100 a day but that was the beginning of the FD and off season.

It is all in what you want a vacation to be and I hope everyone's is their dream.:lovestruc

We visit WDW nearly every year. You spent at least 4 times as much as we have ever spent on a Disney trip. You can save a lot by:

- Staying at a value, moderate, or off-site resort
- Shopping for a discount, like free dining or stay/play/dine
- Staying fewer days
- Finding a cheaper nephew to care for you cat!

prairiesarah, I was thinking of the OP and if they could afford to pay cash for that trip and that is how they chose to spend the money then they could afford it and if they want to blow it all on one big trip every few years rather than several cheaper ones then good for them!:thumbsup2

Life is all about choices and what works for one might not work for others.

When we were living in a huge house the tiny AS's worked fine but now we are in a condo POFQ is looking tempting.:wave2:
