How much is REAS now?

I looked on the Disney cruise site but couldn't find a thing. I booked this on our last 4 night but I've heard the price has increased.

Thanks for any info!

You're right, the price has increased from $299 to $339. And in my opinion the "perks" aren't as great. I'm actually on the phone cancelling my REAS right now...I just don't feel that what you get adds up to the $339...Now they have replaced the Couples Massage with a Rainforest Room pass which I just don't feel adds up!

So they've increased the price and reduced the offerings? That makes sense. We really enjoyed the room service breakfast the morning of CC. DS loves eggs in the morning so the regular room service menu doesn't work. It was also nice having Palo reservations taken care of before boarding. Oh well.

That's pretty much it! What I didn't understand was the fact that when I booked my REAS, it stated that they still offered the Couples Massage. Had I not come here and read the posts about the change, then I probably would have never known. It just doesn't make sense to me, and I think a lot of people aren't booking it now because of that reason. I could see them substituing the Rainforest Passes for the Massages IF they had kept the price the same, but they went up. I don't know...maybe DCL will get the message and do something! I'm really disappointed though, because I was really looking forward to the package, but I ended up cancelling, because I just couldn't justify that extra $300 for something that really didn't add up to that much...not to mention the DH already said that he wouldn't use the Rainforest Room, so oh well, maybe next time!
Oh, and when I called DCL to ask them about it...they couldn't give me an answer as to how they could justify the change!

I was going to add this to my package too, until they took away the massages -- I had already even talked my DH into actually getting a massage (no easy task). Now, I can't justify the price either. The room service breakfast would have been nice, but we are early birds and won't have a problem getting to breakfast. And, I understand that since we are on a 7 night cruise, that it won't be that difficult to get Palo reservations once we are onboard. Still, I would have liked to have all of that done before I even got to the ship... :confused3

I know exactly what you mean DisneyMom. It is very disappointing. I was looking forward to the champagne breakfast (even though we don't drink champagne), and the Romantic Turndown, but I had to ask myself it was really worth it...and to be logical it really isn't. And I may have kept it if we weren't really scrounging to try and make this trip, but at this point every penny counts, and $339 sure is a lot off the price!! I am just really hoping that maybe DCL will get some feedback from cruisers and hopefully make a change!

From my understanding the "new" REAS package with the rainforest room will be starting in Jan 06....so all those up until then will still have the couples massage.

Also the big perk of booking Palo before getting on board is now FREE....when you do it on line :goodvibes ....so IMO the price of the package now outweights the perks...not making the REAS package a good deal. But then again that's JMO.

since everyone can book palo on-line ahead of the cruise the package is not nearly as appealing.

I booked the REAS for our cruise in December, so I was able to make ressies on Saturday morning. I believe the couples massage is/was for only 25 minutes or so and the couples massage offered was 50 minutes. I've e-mailed DCL for confirmation on what I need to do to reserve it. I hope we don't lose out on it.
