Hi,

I have a four day park hopper purchased from work
I can't remember the exact cost but it was a little less than the online price at Disneyland.com. So perhaps around $149
The online price for the 4 day is $159 and the ticket price is $189
The cheapest annual pass is $229

From reading this forum, it seems as though I can upgrade to the annual pass

1) So does Disney, pro-rate the unused portion if I upgrade on the last day or does it give me a full credit against the cost of the 4 day ticket ?

2) If it's a full credit, will this be against the advertised ticket price i.e $189, so in essence I just have to pay an extra $40 for each upgrade ?

3) Where do I do the upgrade ? At the ticket counter as I enter or inside the park ? And would I save any time, by going there at a particular time of day ?

4) Finally how does the annual pass actually look ? Does it have photo id on it or my name and address ? I would imagine also that it's not transferrable, but does Disney ask as an example for photo id to go along with the pass when I enter the park, to prove I'm the original purchaser ?

Thanks
Richard

The APs are plastic cards with your picture, name, pass level, and a big P to show whether or not you have parking on it. Also, your AP number is on it (handy when you want to register your AP on DL.com to get a list of AP discounts, special offers, etc...) I do know that they credit the full price of your hopper toward the AP and I believe it would be the price you paid for it. As for where you do it--I think it might be the ticket booths, though you might be able to do it elsewhere--like the Bank of Main Street where they do the AP processing (take your pic and give you the actuall pass).

If you purchase a hopper for say $139 then on the last day decide to upgrade you will get $139 credit toward the purchase of an AP. You must upgrade to an AP that is more expensive.

Ok thanks
Actually I see that the ticket was $139, so I guess they'll credit me for that and I don't get the 'extra bonus' of the credit for the full price that Disney charges of 189. But that makes sense
Thanks for all the responses
