How much is a taxi fare from airport to Universal?

My college son is meeting up with our family later on in the day and is flying into Orlando Int Airport. Does anyone know how much is the average cab fare to Universal from the airport?

Yellow Cab Co just told me that ... "on average" the rate is $35.00

Last year when I did it, it was $37 from the airport to RPR and $35 going back.

And the shuttles are about the same (Happylimo, Tiffany, Mears, etc).

Seems like going 1 way from anywhere to anywhere, will cost about $30 (plus tip) for 3 people.

-why would anyone take a taxi unless its cheaper.-they charge $51 one way pp to HRH for towncar.

Rent a car, although a bit pricier that it used to be.
IMHO you make it up by being able to eat out in Orlando.

I personally cant be w/o rental car-also makes getting to & from airport much easier & quicker.

but if short stay or no kids or some other reason its up to you.
