Dh and I were thinking of taking a box of Target's boxed wine (small boxes, equivalent of 4 bottles of wine for $15.99.) We are flying, so we can't take anything in bottles. We will be shipping some items, but want to know if it is worth it to take our own wine.

Can anyone tell me the average cost of a bottle of wine at the Fort?

Thanks!

VP

I can't tell you about Wine but if you base it on this a 6 pk of Miller beer is $24.00 and a small bottle of rum is $18.00 maybe this can help

Let's put it this way, if you are drinking more than 1 bottle I will bet you a glass, that it would be cheaper to hire a taxi, go to publix and a taxi back!!! NO JOKE!!! Plus the selection would be lots better, and you could get all the other stuff you need. :lmao:

If you are not renting a vehicle, yes ship down a box for an everyday wine. But keep in mind that the some of the countries around Epcot sell bottles of wine. They are a little more money, but of very good quality.

Our favorite wines are at Germany and we usually take a case home with us each trip.

Holy moly, was dh lying to me when we stayed there in 2007? We would put the kids to bed and then he'd to to Meadows to get some beer. He said his 6-pack of Miller Lite was $12.00. Ha!

We will ship the wine boxes, then!

Thanks for the Epcot wine tip. The sum total of our Epcot drinking (aside from dinners) is getting pints and sitting in the UK garden eating fish 'n chips while the kids toddle around and we feel good and fuzzy!

Oh wow, this trip is really just around the corner! WOooo!

I remember getting a bootle a few years ago and it was like 10 bucks. It was a zinfindel and was about a 2 glass bottle. Make sure you pack it in plenty of foam.

Couldn't tell ya,,
I don't drink anymore.

okay thats a lie,, I just don't drink any less.

He was probably right about the beer in 2007. You "used" to be able to purchase beer by the 6-pack in the resort "stores" at a reduced price. However, they discontinued that sometime in 2008 and it is full price for EVERY beer.

You just made me smile! That's my favorite thing to do at Epcot! Fish n chips, Bass, sit in the garden while my younger ones play a bit.

My wife had back surgery a couple of months ago and she will not be up fot all the walking in Epcot or the other parks. We have rented a wheel chair for the length of our stay. I just bought 2 cupholders that attach to the wheel chair to place my beers in when I'm pushing her around. I love Epcot and the Beers of the World ride!!!!

BTW, there a wine store in France that is not too bad and the prices are reasonable. I like to store my wine in my belly! The prices at Meadow are :scared1::scared1:

There is a Wine Flight in EPCOT. Forget the cost but you get two wines each from Italy, Germany and France. France has a shop where they sell bread and cheese. Nice to take some of your wine, sit down with some bread and cheese and enjoy.

From what I can tell, for a bottle of wine, you'll pay about twice twice what you will at a liquor store. One we saw at Epcot for $58 was $27 at Total Wine and $32 at ABC. Another was about $20 at Epcot and I usually pay less than $10 here, even at the health food markets.

Question: Can you get one of those grocery delivery companies to deliver Beer or Wine
