Well, we've finally made it into our gorgeous room (which I haven't thought to take pictures of yet) and now it's time to get the bags together and bring them down to the front desk.
I know what you're thinking
. "Why didn't they have the bags together already?" Well, we had ten bags to make counting Farrah's and mine and that would have been kind of hard to put in our carry on without getting smushed. So we had everything unassembled with intentions of putting them together once we got into the room. However, we did not anticipate everyone congregating in OUR room. Kenya kept coming back and forth comparing our room and our view of the pool (or lack thereof) with her room - which was right next door to our room, I might add - Room 4020.
At one point we got everyone out of the room and I flipped the latch on the door so that even Jasmine couldn't get in with her key and we started pulling out all of the things for the bags. First we had to take pictures of everything, of course. While we were laying everything out on the bed, Kenya started banging on the door. Jasmine tried to use her card to get in but the latch stopped her from getting too far which of course heightened their curiosity and they start banging on the door asking "What's going on?"
Farrah and I are running back and forth like chickens with our heads cut off and finally Farrah sweeps everything off of the bed and onto the floor between the bed and the balcony door. She then stretches herself across the bed trying to look nonchalant and I flip the latch to open the door and fall against the wall in a fit of laughter. Jasmine and Kenya walk in and look at us like we're

!
They just wanted to know if we wanted to go down and get something to eat. I compose myself long enough to say yes while trying to catch my breath. Farrah declines and says she's going to try and check on Donnie.
We head down to The Mara to use our first counter service credit. Jasmine, KeMarr and I got the double cheeseburger with fries, Kenya gets the chicken strips and Kia has the pizza. All of us enjoyed our meals. As we're finishing up, Farrah comes walking in to The Mara. She gives me a slight nod to let me know the mission is accomplished. Finally!
She gets a bacon cheeseburger and sits down as Jasmine, KeMarr and Kia get up to head to the Animal Kingdom. She talked to Ayeshia, Donnie's wife, and they'd just gotten to Orlando International. She told Farrah how Donnie had gotten detained by Security at the airport in Dallas because he had liquids in his bag. Lots of liquids. He'd packed all of his little travel bottles of shampoo, lotion, etc. in it. The TSA told him that he needed to put them in a quart size bag but he threw them away anyway
Anyway they were on their way to Magical Express. Farrah, Kenya and I went back up to our rooms to relax. According to Farrah, the cm at the front desk took the bags and separated them by room for both Kenya's room and Donnie Jr.'s room. She told Farrah that they would place them on the beds in the room later that day. She even made a note that, should Donnie Jr. request a room change, he not be allowed one because packages had already been delivered to his room. We felt good about that

: We put Jasmine's and our bags on the bed for when Jasmine came back into the room.
I went out onto the balcony to look at the pool and heard Kenya on her balcony talking on her cell phone. She was telling someone "You have to see this place. You just have to see it for yourself. I can't even explain it!" I felt so good! I know I don't have ownership in Disney, shoot, I don't even have ownership in the DVC but I just felt proud. Like I'd done something to impress her.
Do any of you ever get that feeling?
A few minutes later, Kenya knocks on our door and Farrah sweeps the bags off the bed again and hides them behind the chair. We didn't want her to see our bags before she saw hers. She walks into our room and ask "Did ya'll (cause that's how we say it in the South) get ya'll bags yet?"
Me: "What are you talking about? Our suitcases?"
Kenya: "No. They just delivered these little gift bags to our room."
Me: "Gift bags? WhatchatalkingboutKenya?" (okay I didn't really say that, but it wouldn't have been the first time)
Kenya: "I was sitting on the balcony and I heard someone open the door. When I walked in the room there were these three little bags sitting on the floor beside the door."
Great! Thanks for waiting until later and placing them on the bed AKL cm!

I know it was a courtesy, but I was still a little disappointed.
We told her that we hadn't received any bags and she ran to get hers to show us. She was so excited! She couldn't believe that Disney World had personalized everything. Finally, Farrah couldn't take anymore. Farrah doesn't like to give credit to anyone or anything when the credit is due to her! She blurted out, "Kenya, we made those bags. Do you really think Disney World would personalize bags for everyone?"
Kenya thought for a second at the absurdity of that (I guess) and gave us a big hug and told us thank you and started crying. She was overwhelmed!

There's that feeling of pride again, but this time it was deserved.
Here are some pictures of the bags as we were hoping they would look on the beds
.
Here's a close up of the message on the bag
Here are the contents of the bag. The bags included an embroidered t-shirt, a poncho (or Kali River Rapids protective gear), a roll of Mentos chews, a bag of Whales crackers, a pack of imitation Nabs, and a small bottle of Sunblock.
Here's a close-up of the embroidery on the t-shirts. Yes, it exposes our last name. Hopefully, none of you use that against me.
Donnie calls to tell us that they were leaving Coronado Springs Resort. We were hanging over the fourth floor railing looking down into the lobby when they walk in. We grab an elevator and go down to meet them. When we get into the lobby, he is at the check-in counter. As we walk up to him, the cm hands him four brightly colored bags
Farrah's plan #1 goes down the drain.
Next up! We make it into our first park - Animal Kingdom!!!!
