I was contemplating downloading and purchasing disks at Disney rather than buy another card for just this trip. Can anyone tell me how much they are? I bought some last year in Epcot, but can't decide which would pay off? Thanks! :confused3

From what I understand they are hugely expensive. You'd be better off buying extra memory.

Memory is so cheap now, that it makes sense to buy memory cards, which are re-usable, rather than paying Disney more money to dump your pics to CD, which isn't re-usable.

Even if the disks are $20-30 it's still cheaper, and more economical, to just buy more/bigger cards. Then at least you can re-use the memory.

There's a Walgreens just outside of Disney on the DTD side...

We usually stay off property and tend to have a vehicle. I found a Walgreens (that'll do 1000 pics at a time for $2.99 plus tax) just to the left as you leave Disney property. TBH tho, I haven't had to use Walgreens in FL since I now carry two 2gb cards and a 528 mg backup. I do not shoot RAW but I do shoot at a very high resolution. I'll max out my 2gb cards at about 1000 photographs on each. My only computer is my PC at home so downloading to a laptop or carrying a portable drive was never an option for me.

Spend a couple extra bucks for a good SD card too. IMO, it's better to pay a couple extra dollars now than to pay with the heartache that comes when the cheap stuff breaks down.

Epcot will do discs for you, I think around $11 a piece - another thing I was told about their service is it takes longer to get your discs (they are def not a 1 hour service.)

buy yourself more memory now, you'll be happy that you did.

If the Epcot price is $11, you can get lots of memory for that price.
If the Walgrens price is $2.99, I still don't think it's worth the time and hassle to go out of my way for that, when you could get a 2GB Sandisk SD card for just $3.99.

Are SD cards really that cheap now?!

My last one was around $20, that was about a year ago tho.
