How much film do you use on a typical week at WDW?

On our first trip, we used at least six rolls. Every trip it becomes less and less.

Our first family trip in 2000, I took 14 rolls of film (approx. 335 pics). When developed, I ended up with 1/2 that in "good" photos. This trip (Sept. 2003), I used my digital camera for the first time. I came home with 433 photos on the memory card....and all of them were in focus and were "good". Well worth the investment in my opinion.

I take lots of photos...

First trip was 45 rolls...but now I average 15 rolls and 1500 digital photos...

What can I say? I used to take pics for a living.::yes::

On our last trip I took 11 rolls of 36 exposures and about 750 on the digital camera.

We no longer use film since we bought a digital camera. I take 100's of pics every day. In the room that night we go over which ones we want to keep and download them into the laptop and then delete everything on the disc so we can start over the next day. When we get home, we narrow our choices even further before we finally print out those shots that were just right! It's soooo much nicer than wasting money on developing pics we don't want.

I usually take about 8 rolls of film. I buy one of the dated photo albums that they sell in the gift shops and arrange the photos by chronological order. I don't take that many pictures at home, so it is always fun after a birthday or holiday to bring home the developed photos and find those last couple of WDW photos that I had completely forgotten about.

Last trip I shot 28 rolls of 36. I take pics for a living and realize the more pics, the better the chances of getting one thats just perfect. That time it happened (as my DH sez...even a blind squirrel can find a nut now and then...

That time the perfect shot came thru...I ended up winning an international photo award for it. I use a digital on the job, but have always used a good slr for my own shots...there are just some pics you can get with a great zoom lens that until now were not possible with a digital. Unfortunately, they're so good now I'm running out of excuses not to buy my own. Lets see...do I want to spend my $$$ on a new camera or Disney World? Guess which one won this time?

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Don't use any film, now that we've gone digital! We don't have a videocamera either, hate those things.

I go through about 13 to 14 roles per trip. I'm gonna try and cut back this trip and use only 10 roles. I love to take pictures and it's hard not to take pictures of things I like.

I haven't taken my new SLR to WDW yet, but I shot an average of 8-10 rolls of 36 exp. 800 ASA film during each of the 2003 Stanley Cup home games. Talk about expensive, but digitals just don't shoot fast enough in low light arenas, especially when the action is fast and furious. All you get is a blur. Maybe if I was in the press area, or I was using one of the Professional Digitals it would be a different story, but my Olympus C-700 just doesn't cut it.

My last trip, I was there 4 full days (2 1/2 days and 2 full days) and I wound up taking 2000 pictures. Thank goodness for digital... I will never go back again :teeth:

NONE! Finally got a digital camera! I took over 700 pictures on our trip. No trip to the store to develop. It is great! Never want to go back to film again!

Before this last trip, I would figure 1 roll/day.

Every trip we take less pictures. I think for our first trip I took 20+ rolls and our last trip I think I took maybe 5.

I couldn't do your poll, because I own a digital camera. Last time DH and I used 25 disks!! :faint: ::yes:: We have the images set where that would give us 10 pix per disk. So we took 250 pictures!! :rotfl: Well, wait a minute...I did take disposables cameras....six of them....and used every one of them that had about 25 pix on each one...so I guess that accounts for 400 pictures!!

SOMEBODY STOP ME!! :teeth: :hyper:

Film? What's that? :teeth: I used to take many many rolls, now I take hundreds of digitals. We watch our digitals on the resorts TV's at night(slideshow). I take the cards to Walmart and develop what we want when we get home. Actually developed hundreds too::yes:: . I love Disney pictures and doing Disney Creative memories :hyper: . Those I don't want developed plus the ones I developed are saved on the computer and burned to a CD
Digital has changed the way we take pictures. I don't hesitate to take a picture of anything and everything and the printed quality is superior to my 35mm.

Our first trip I took 6½ rolls. Next time we'll be bringing our digital camera as well. Should end with with a lot more pictures but less film used.

We typically go for about 10 - 12 days and I use about 12 rolls of film. We are really wanting to go digital... but I would also like a new car...new house...oh well, maybe someday I'll get one;) ;)
