How much does your holiday usually cost inc. spends?

I've provisionally budgeted about £3000-£3500 right now for me and my bf and from looking up prices online I think it'll be doable, we could save money by staying in a value resort at WDW but am hoping that selling some Piece Of Disney History pins I have will 'pay' for our upgrade to a moderate Haven't booked anything yet as i'm waiting for scheduled flights to be released for our dates but this is my basic breakdown:
-Disney moderate resort 7 nights w/tickets + dining plan approx £900 (may get DP free but budgeting it in for the time being)
-Offsite hotel on I-drive approx £450 for 7 nights
-Orlando flex 5 park, KSC and Boat tour tickets £350 approx (considering getting FOTL passes also but not sure if we'll need them since we're going in September)
-Spending money £1000 (for food and emergency money mostly, going to do daily budgets and any left over we can spend on souvenirs, will probably bring our own souvenir spends separately depending on what we can save.. Since we'll have DDP it's mostly for our first week anyway)
-Flights £700-£800 (hoping for a good deal with Virgin but if they're too pricey then we'll fly charter)
-Travel insurance approx £40-50.
-Undecided on car hire, don't think we'll really need one since we'll be within walking distance of Universal in our first week, Seaworld and malls are easy to get to on the bus or with a cheap taxi, KSC, boat tour and Busch have transportation (done this before with no probs) and we're staying onsite for our second week so Disney transportation will be fine

Hope this thread is OK, don't want it to turn nasty or anything I just thought it'd be interesting to compare costs

1 night at Bewleys hotel the day before we fly
Upgraded car to a 4wd
Economy flights with TCD
2 adults for around the World on a Segway
2 adults for Cirque Du Soleil
2 7 day MYW Disney tickets
2 14 day/5 park Orlando flex tickets
All food & drink & souveniers
We have an annual insurance policy so that's not ncluded

Without all the extra's (upgraded car etc) we could have come in at £3500 easily

Our costs so far for 2 adults, 1 child age 8 staying for 21 nights - 7 nights at Pop and 14 at CBR, including 21 day Disney Ultimate tickets, flying out economy and back PE with Virgin has come to £3522.65.

Then we've just spent £467.28 on 3 Discovery Cove dolphins swims + 14 days SeaWorld/Busch Gardens entry

£235.35 on the Hilton at Gatwick for the night before.
£100 ish on the Princess & Pirate Party tickets.
£432 on car hire

Usually for WDW, we would assume it would cost around £5,000 for the two of us staying at DVC - so no accommodation costs. For the other holidays in the year, we'd assume anything from £5,000-£8,000. But it is possible to do it a lot cheaper.

We allocate around £10,000-£12,000 a year - a bit more if it's a special holiday for a special occasion eg in Dec 2007 we are doing a very special holiday for our 30th anniversary - that is costing at least as much as an average year's holiday budget.

We're planning a late summer holiday this year and the cheapest I've found so far for the two of us (inc. spending money) is around £7000.

That's two weeks at the YC, Continental First Class flights, park tickets and spending money.

We managed to get a 2 week trip for all 5 (2 adults, 3 kids 6,2,2) us, including ALL spending money in October, for about 5.5k.

It was about £2000 for the virgin flights.
About £800 for the on-site hotel (ASM)
Car hire for 3 days to get to Universal and SW was about £100
Tickets £600 (14 day disney, 2 day Uni, 1 day SW)
Airport Parking £60 (booked last minute)
The rest went on spending money (Just under 2k), which was plenty for us including lots of merchandise, plenty of character meals and MNSSHP.

Its going to cost a bit more next time as the boys will be 3 so we will have to buy tickets and more food (buffets let under 3's eat free).

My next approx budget will be about 6k.

I find that the 'extras' can add up a lot. We know the flights, accommodation, theme park tickets, souvenirs will cost a lot but I'm kinda shocked for the second year running at the cost of the extras when I write them down, which I have or else I'll not have enough, lol!

By 'extras' I mean parking in the airport (for 17 days here in Shannon airport it's 120 euro, total rip off). Eating in the airport (breakfast on the way out and dinner in NY during stop-over). Gas for rented car, snack money (ice creams, drinks etc.), clothes to wear over there (I thought last year's ones would be fine but most of them are worn out!), backpacks for my boys, sun cream, travel insurance, snacks for plane, costumes for MNSSHP (which will be bin liners at this stage ).

I don't mean to sound mean, it's just, wow, it adds up!!! But at least I've made a list so I'm prepared, I think!

this yeras trip has cost £5500 for the 5 of us for two weeks at the poly (2 adults and 3 kids 6 8 1)
£1000 for wdw tickets and hilton gatwick nighnt before we fly.
£4500 spends but we expect to come back with some though.
Everyone knows its not cheap, but what ever you spend on getting to wdw it is all worth it.

Got to say if I put it all together it tops £10k, I actually do not know, I book the flights and thats Upper class through VH and the first hotel and car hire, Royal pacific resport nad tickets so thats £6k.

But DCL and WDW Polynesian with tickets and free Disney dinner plan, is booked through Dreams in dollars and I pay off a bit at a time when the exchange rate its good.

As I say without spending money it tops £10k.

We went this year in Feb

£1254 - Flights and Hotel for 2 (BA with free upgrade and 10 Nights All Star Resort)
£542 - Park Tickets for 2 (14 Day Ultimte, 2 day 2 park UNiversal and 1 day Sea World)
£60 - Gatwick parking
£600 - Sending Money (this was more than enough for the 2 of us and i came home with about 50 disney pins!!!) We always have the credit card incase we need more money.

Total: £2456 for 2 adults

We thought the price was so good we are going back again next year!!! we are staying for an extra night this year so total cost if £50 extra for hotel and maybe about £40 extra spending money.

We dont feel like we do it on a budget, the all star sports is a great hotel, we're not the sort of people that like to dress up for dinner so it suits us down to the ground, we are happiest in our trainers and shorts! also we dont hire a car, we use the disney transportation for getting around disney - at this time of year they are regular and never packed, and we use the Lynx buses from the TTC wich is $1.50 each way, again couldn't really fault this, they run on time and its a pleasent journey that allows us both the sit back relax and look out the windows! My other half isnt really interested in Busch Gardens so we didn't do it last time but again there is a bus that runs every 30 mins from Disney TTC to Busch Gardens. We normally pop back into one of the Dinsey parks from the TTC on the way home, this is a great time to catch the firework displays etc...

£700 for 3 weeks in Indian Creek villa incl pool heat (half cost with sister)
£1000 for 14 day ultimate tickets and 5 park flex
£1400 Spending money (also have cash left from last year $2700 in total)

Alot to save up in a year (bread n drippin for every meal) but jeez is it worth it!!!!

I have to agree with that one - we had already planned to stay in Dublin the night before so we took the train up which saved us over €200 in airport parking for the month. Our costs for this trip are

Flights via Newark 2 adults 2 kids £1,870
Sunset Lakes villa 16 nights £1,280
8 nights DVC at OKW in a 2 bed
Plus 4 nights DVC in a 1 bed at Vero £530 (maintenance fee cost)
Spending money $150 per day x 28 days £2,210
All tickets AP's bought and used on last years holiday and still valid.
That's £5,890 which is not too bad for a months stay

Oops forgot car hire for the month - a 7 seater from Budget at £620 which makes the total £6,510

Yeah I guess you would save if you're buying annual passes and yearly TI.. This will be our only holiday in a 12 month period though (& 2008 won't be Orlando) so probably not an option for us.
