How much do you spend a year on Disney vacations?

I'd say about $3,000-$4,000 and that includes the military discount for hotel, tickets, and meal plan.

Oh, that is for 6 nights at a resort (have done AKL and AllStar Movies), the military 4 day hopper plus an additional single day for a party of 3.

2011 trip was $11k for 7 of us in the BC for 8 nights :scared1:

2013 trip was $10.5k for 7 of us in the Poly for 6 nights :scared:

So that's $21.5 over 4 years or about $5400 a year (whew, that makes me feel better LOL).

We typically go every other year for 4 or 5 days due to cost plus limited vacation time (plus we like to visit other places in alternate years). We avoid peak vacation season and holidays and the higher costs for flights and at Disney. For last trip in 2012 (mid October) total cost worked out to around $1000 per person. Our next trip is in December during free dining with total cost for two adults, 6 days coming to around $1200 per person. We also avoid major additional spending on meals (will bring our own breakfast items) and not huge Disney shoppers, maybe one or two items. So there are many ways to get costs down.

Once a year here, and EVERYTHING complete we spend around $5000 to $6000 for our family of five, ranging from 7-9 night stays.

When the economy was still bad in 2010, we even completely paid for my inlaws to go within that price range too.

That includes airfare from MI, onsite resort and tickets, Garden Grocer, Photopass, Airport Parking, maybe a trip to Sea World for a day, tips for TS meals (we've had free dining every trip)...

So that's pretty much been our spend. Any more than that and I'm not sure it's worth it for us. We'll find other choices, like this year we're doing a family RCI cruise to the caribbean instead of Disney (2 nights in Ft. Lauderdale, 6 nights on the cruise), and are still within the $5k-$6k range total spend including excursions, hotel, rental car, flights, drinking on the ship, etc...

I live in scotland so going every year really isn't a option. We use to go every 2 years for a while but after our 2009 trip we couldn't due to just not having the money. I am hoping though we might at least after this trip go every 3 years at least. To the point this holiday(vacation) we spent £7000 on a party of 8 to just get there with a villa to sleep in, heated pool and a car with insurance, gps and tank of gas to drive about. That isn't even including tickets or spending money on food and gas.

I am taking $3000 dollars with me. My tickets were £290 for 3 weeks and this year I also bought extras for both MVSCP and mickeys not so scary party which were $140. My family isn't taking as much spending money as me. My sister and husband are taking $3000 to share. My sister $2000. My mum,dad and little brother will have about $5500 I think between them so yes it really is adding up as you can see.

At todays conversion rate 7000 works out $11727 290 works our $485

ps. I don't think I'll spend all that money but it's better to have more than less.
So $11727
+$3000
+$2000
+$3000
+$5500
= $ 25'227 and that is excluding tickets at this point.:scared1:

I haven't bought my universal tickets. All I can say it's alot more expensive than it was in 1999 and I am trying not to think about it too much.

We go not quite every year - our time between trips is around 18 months on average. We generally spend about $3k for 2 people, for 7-8 nights in a mod, tickets w/hoppers, all dining/souvenirs/transport and boarding the dog.

So for a yearly average, $2000?
