How much do you pay for cut, color & highllights at salon?

I went to a nice salon yesterday to get a cut, color and highlights and was shocked at the price when I checked out. I do love the color - they did a great job.

I had been going to a MasterCuts but never liked the way the color turned out. However, it was half the price.

Just wondering what everyone else pays......

For a wash, cut, color and highlight, it's about $75 for me. But I have never found anyone or any place that I liked more than this girl that does my hair.

plus 35.00 for the cut.

They'll blow dry your hair after the cut, but, if your only getting highlights then the blow dry is extra.

I go to an "upscale" salon....and my colorist is $55 for all over color, $55 for partial foil.
Stylist is $45 for cut......add that all up with tips and yep....expensive!!
But, I have gone to other places to try to save some money and wasn't nearly as happy, so back I went. I get the foil every other month and the cut every other month.
But the gray makes me get all over color every month

I pay about $130 all together including tip....$151 sounds high to me, but it is so hard to find someone that does a good job so I would pay $151 if I really liked them.

Mine is around $100 for the color/highlight and $60 for the cut. My stylist is getting more and more popular, so the salon owner keeps raising her prices, even though she asks him not to, or to just increase it $5 instead of $10 because she's afraid of losing clients! I think she's totally worth it though. No one I've been to does as good a job.

The shampoo, blow dry, and styling are all included. Plus, when they give me a neck and shoulder massage while they're letting the conditioner do it's thing, so in some ways its worth it just for that!

I go to a chain salon (Holiday) and I usually end up paying around $120 after tip and discount -- the discount usually covers the tip. So that means, it would have been $120 without the discount, so $140-150 would be about right for it after the tip. It's only $10 for a cut with the color, so I usually don't skip that unless I very recently had a haircut.

However, my hair is so thick, she has to use two bottles of color to cover it all, so she charges extra for that. I get foil highlights.

I know this sounds bad, but I only get it done twice a year. I have such a hard time spending that kind of money on myself when I'm not working. Right now my hair looks horrible with so many gray streaks through it. I'll probably get it done again after Christmas sometime. Last time I had it done was at the beginning of August.

A cut and full highlights runs me about $100 and I consider that cheap. My girl doesn't charge as much as she should. But, I'm not about to say anything.

Well, when I lived in California it was running close to $200 and that was 7 years ago.

Here and now I pay $25 for the wash/cut/style $65 for the allover color and $45 for the highlights, when done all at once it's about $130 including the tip since you get a discount when you get it all done together.

When I lived in Boston, usually about $225. In California, about the same...I think the cut was a little less but the color a little more so it evened out. This didn't include the tip.

Here I pay about $125 - and the salon has a "no tipping" policy!

I occasionally go to a salon that charges about 200 for cut, color and highlights.

But, I have long, straight blonde hair that really doesn't need constant upkeep. So, I got my stylist ( a cool belgian guy named Patric) to give me the color code for the base, so I do my own roots about 1x a month with the semipermanent color, and then about every 4 months I come in for just the highlights and a trim along the bottom.

It's funny, I got talked into getting the 'suburban soccer mom' haircut a few years ago, and it's so much more upkeep than long straight hair! Everyone's like, you must spend a lot of time on your hair, and I'm like, nope. Wash it, let it dry on its own, and I'm done!

Those soccer mom do's-I had to blow dry it with a round brush, put tons of product in it, it needed to be trimmed every 6 weeks or it looked messy, ugh, no thanks, I'm too lazy for that!

I pay $100 a month to have my hair trimmed and the color touched up. When I need the highlights redone, it runs me about $130. I've thought about switching to one the Hair Cuttery places, but it would hurt the feelings of the lady who does my hair. She does a great job, it is just very expensive.
