How much do you pay for cut, color & highllights at salon?

I get my highlights touched up and a cut for about $120.00, but I have alot of hair so it does cost a little more! IMO, the cost doesn't matter as long as i'm happy with how it looks ! I've been to different places (years ago) and was never happy with the outcome

With the cut and color I pay $90, not including the tip. During the summer, I believe my highlights, about five foils is around an additional $45-55 dollars. I love my salon. They spend at least two hours each visit on my hair. Color, wash, cut, and style. They pamper all their clients! :goodvibes

I will have to say I like my hair sooooo much better at this new salon so it's worth it but it was sticker shock for me. You should have seen my husband's face when I told him the price :faint: (especially when he heard the $151 didn't include tip - I don't think I'll tell him in the future)

That's where you went wrong--telling him in the first place! :teeth:

I got my first set of highlights a few weeks ago- I love my stylist! She did 2 clolo foil highlights, cut, style, and blowdry for $110, not incl. tip. I was a bit taken aback at the price, but my hair looks so nice (and the grey is all blended in and not noticeable) that I don't mind the $$- but I will go for a re-highlighting about every 4 months, instead of every 2 like she suggested. I can't see spending that much $$ that often.

For cut/color/foil (2 colors ~ blonde & red) & style I pay $148. I only do the foiling about every 3 months though. That is not including tip. Tomorrow I'm going for touch up of (grey) roots & cut/style & that will be $90. That is every 5 weeks. I love, love, love my hair stylist. She only works one day a week (Sunday's only) so I have to make my appt early. She is so fast too. I'm in & out of her chair in 90 minutes when she foils me! Less for just root coverage/cut/style!

Full Foil including style $75 plus cut $20 plus t/up $37 Total: $132

Part Foil $50, t/up $37 c/b $30 Total: $117

Overlay is another $25

You know what I just realized?

The older I get the more it costs me to look good!

How did that happen?

When I was in my 20's and making zero dollars, I have no memory of needing all this darn preventative maintenance. And I looked great!

Rats!

Foil highlights, wash, scalp and shoulder massage, cut, and style...$8

Having a SIL who is a stylist...PRICELESS!!!!! :teeth:

Just did that exact thing today.

It was $178.

I tipped her $22 to make an even $200, but that's because of the holiday season, and she is a GREAT stylist, and she deserves it.

Those are pretty average prices for where I live. :confused3

I just had a full foil with wash, cut, blowdry and flatiron today and the total cost was $75.00 including the tip. Of course, it helps that my hair stylist has been a friend of the family for over 30 years.

About $130 for wash, cut, highlight full head, and blowdry. I love my stylist so it is so worth it to me!

I see one thing...I undercharge! But, I myself would hate to pay 150.00 for highlights so I won't be charging that anytime soon. I used to work in a high end salon and we were very expensive.
LOL, me too!!! I also undercharge....I can't see myself paying so much for highlights and cuts, so I charge what I would pay:) But....I also live in a small town too....I do the same on the hair extensions I do as well. I charge a lot less than I should, but its worth seeing how it makes my clients feel about themselves when I'm done.

I pay 125 then a 20-30 dollar tip because my stylist is awesome!
