How Much Do You Ladies Charge to Haunt the Castle? -- Departure Day up (See index

Marv, after taking a second look, I agree about Anastasia. Honestly, that creeps me out.
Now Kathy will have to clear this up, since she talked to them! ::yes::

I have seen that trio in the flesh and they are indeed "ladies". They may not act like it but they are.

Maybe a new guy in the makeup dept that day??? :confused3

:rotfl2:

:rotfl2:
In the flesh huh??? That is a little more of a character meet than I care to experience............ :scared1: :faint: :rolleyes1

First, I apologize for not responding sooner. We went out of town this weekend because our "kids" won't be coming home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Therefore, we went to spend some time with them before Thanksgiving and then, weather permitting, we will go see them the weekend after Christmas for my birthday and to exchange gifts. Here are my kids...aren't they cute?

Meandmykids.jpg

DOH! :rolleyes1 did you cringe? I hope every one can contain their excitement for Mark's surprise!

I did cringe...and it is so hard to contain my excitement these last 17 days.

can you tell I am still catching up? and you are updating like crazy! Happily tonight's agenda includes only sorting about 300 containers of nuts & candy for my Girl Scout Troop's nut sales, so hopefully my lap top will like me and let me catchup.

Wow....I don't miss those sales at all. :rotfl2:

I did get through most of your full day at Epcot--and what a day! Soarin 3 times plus world showcase? awesome! I love the polar bear hat. that rocks.

and your viking hat - the braids even matched! You should have bought it and worn it when one of the boys "gets out line" -- :lmao:

gotta go, Happy Friday!

We had a great day at Epcot.

The question is which boys? My sons or Marv or Tim? :rotfl:

Holy updates, Bat Girl!! :rotfl:

You don't mess around, do you?!? :goodvibes

I'm behind again...I don't have long to get this done. :scared1:

Y'all have such a great time, it's fun looking at your photos doing as such.

Love the Marge Simpson wig!! :rotfl2: Too funny!
Eating at Emeril's looked amazing! I would have joined in on the calamri!! popcorn:: Mmm, love me some calamari.
Poor Mackie, I think I scarred her for life when she ate it for the first time. :rotfl: We were at an Italian place we loved to go to for pizza, and I ordered some fried calamari to start. When we got it she was gobbling it up! As we were eating it I said...."Do you know what you are eating? " (as I picked up one of the tiny squids that had all it's tiny little tentacles) Thinking this could be one of those moments where she would think 'Oh! Cool!' and then not think anything of it afterwards. :sad2: Stupid mommy wasn't thinking this through very well for a 6 or 7 year old at the time.
When I told her, you would have thought I told her she was eating her best friend!! :rotfl: Poor baby was was upset, "You mean like pearl in Finding Nemo!?!"
I told her some funny things and made her laugh about it, but being the twisted, sick, humored person that I am took it a little further when I got my pasta primavera and picked up the peice of yellow squash and asked her if she knew what it was, the look on her face was priceless-she was already on to me and knew I messing with her at this point (smart baby is teased too much at home)...."It's Flounder from Little Mermaid." :scared1: She yelled at me and said "I'm never going out to eat with you again!" :lmao: She has a pretty funny sense of humor, poor kid didn't stand a chance in this family, humor is how love is shown in this family.

You are so mean....but I love it (Mark would have done the same thing with his kids. I could eat Calamari every day of the week.

Looove torturing my kids.

It's payback for them torturing us on first dates, driving a car, etc. down the road.

Love the PP picture with the sword, hope they have the PP there when we go! :) That's one picture we've not gotten yet, it's a cute one of the both of you. :goodvibes

I read someone else said they saw the PP too so hopefully they will still be there.

Are you all ready for a Thanksgiving feast with the kids this weekend?

Unfortuantely, we will only have Andy of our kids. But Mark's dad, sister and brother-in-law are coming too. It will be a little hard as it is the first without Mark's mom and it is my father-in-law's birthday.

Kathy you are an update machine . First your food at Emerils looked very tasty, have to say that banana pie really caught my eye !! LOVED all the hats , mmmm Rosie thinking for next year mmmmm!!! Your Evil Sisters meet and greet was amazing !! I have only seen them at 1900 never out and about !!

Some great hats at Universal, Rosie (and we didn't even go into the park). Emeril's is a little upscale, but oh so good.

We had a blast with the Evil stepsisters.

The photo with Drisella which her dress over her head practicing to haunt the castle is the BEST !!! :lmao: Sooo funny !! You got some great character photos !!

Thanks; I was about to have an "accident" as I was laughing so hard.

Wow Kathy,

You really are really and updating machine... quantity and quality...:goodvibes

Thank you. :goodvibes

Love the character interaction with the Stepsisters... awesome way to get your TR title... (Mark's a little bit of a troublemaker... in an impish way... isn't he? ;)

Mark is a HUGE troublemaker and he wonders where his youngest son gets it from. Mark came up with the TR title...he gets full credit for that one.

That Banana Cream Pie at Universal is EPIC... Wow... I happen to like bananas so I'll have to try that... but I'm not sure I could polish that baby off my self...
(Maybe next summer... we're going to go to WDW but also a couple of days at Universal... we'll have to check that out...)

You'd have to eat at Emeril's too get it. But my husband, who loves his desserts, said it is the best dessert he has ever had.

Now your Kona breakfast-Yum... I have that scheduled in a couple of weeks...:thumbsup2

Have you ever done Kona? If not, you are going to love it.

I'm thinking part of the reason you went over to City Walk was that Mark needed a new supply of hats to choice from...:lmao: all those new Universal characters...

We were definitely running out of hats at DW.

I always feel a bit weepy when I leave the MK too... part of me wants to live there... truly...:sad1:

I would love to live there.

I am really enjoying your TR... not just because there are tons of great info and pictures but you and Mark seem to just be such a genuinely nice couple (to others and to each other...:love2:) and you seem to take things in stride as they come along... :goodvibes

That is very sweet of you. We've learned in life that it is best to just be ourselves, enjoy life to the fullest and have fun.

I love the story behind your TR title. That is way too funny! :rotfl: Those stepsisters probably couldn't wait for an opportunity to show off their acting chops. Awesome.

More great PP pictures and more great hat pictures. Even you were getting in on the act. :thumbsup2

Thanks, MEK. I hate trying to come up with titles, and this was just perfect because it was such a perfect interaction.

I can't let Mark have ALL the fun with the hats.

This was the first drink spitter. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm sorry...I guess. ;)

Nice - So you pack up and go OFF PROPERTY to starbucks and then go to Kona for a pressed pot. Just couldn't wait could you???:lmao:

Nope...couldn't wait. But Kona can almost relieve me of my shakes in not having my Starbucks.

Love Boutiki

Is he new? Or did I just miss him on previous stops at the Poly?

Nice that you went to MK. But I laughed so hard when I saw this.

Pat, I have to tell you it was the funniest thing ever that we experienced.

OMG, that picture of practicing to be a ghost may be the most hilarious character picture I have ever seen! :rotfl2::lmao:

Isn't it great? I don't think I'll ever top it.

Oh my word...where do I begin lol You guys are a riot :lmao: It must be tough being so shy :rolleyes1

Love how Drizella was totally in character lol And your pics in front of the Castle - how cute! I am so glad you had a great time - you would both be so much fun to meet (and travel with!) I always sit here and smile (and even chuckle to myself) when I read your TR's :thumbsup2

Thank you; I'm glad you are enjoying. It was so good to laugh after the couple of months we had had at home.

You are very kind. I would love to meet every DISer at some point. I hope you continue reading.

OMG, the picture of the stepsister acting like a ghost is hysterical! So glad the PP person was smart enough to take a picture of that!

I'm glad I could give you a laugh...and you even knew the story, but the picture just makes it all the better.

Love love love the pic of the stepsister haunting the castle!!! Made me laugh out loud!!!

Your trip report is amazing!!! Loving all the great pics!!!

Thank you so much for joining. I'm glad you are enjoying. Don't be a stranger...post away.

Practicing to be a ghost to haunt the castle:

Photo0439FourBySix.jpg

This is one of the BEST Disney pictures ever!!!!

I thought so too. :)

Photo0440FourBySix.jpg

Is it me, or is Lady Tremaine, looking a little un-lady like?:confused3

She does, but trust me, she was a "lady"...even if an evil one.

OMG!! Just back after no internet for days (and being on the Cape for a few) and the first thing I see is the stepsister practicing to be a ghost! Cannot wait to catch up...while you're enjoying a weekend with the kids, I'll be enjoying your TR! ::yes::

Safe travels and have fun!!

Welcome back, Christine. Sorry about the internet.

Wasn't that a great picture?

We had a blast with the kids and the travel was uneventful.

Don't you hate when work gets in the way of Disney, while at work!! ;)

Splitting a ticket sounds perfect! Now, if only it was easy to actually win!

Love the meet n greet with the Evil Stepsisters...that's awesome...The pics came out great!

I hate when work gets in the way of my DIS time. It was so busy at work today...I really wanted a cocktail.

Okay...let's work on that winning ticket. ;)

It ws such a fun meet and greet.

wigdoutdismom and Minnie&Nana got me looking at the stepsisters and stepmother and when I know take a second look at them NONE of them look very lady like :-o

No, they don't...but I think it is just true to character.

I have seen that particular trip before. Those are the "A" team stepsisters. :lmao:

A couple of years ago I stood and watched them and was laughing the whole time.

We were called creepers for taking pictures of them with other peoples kids, the kids and parents when done ( and appropriately ) were told to move along and get out of the way,

I hate that I cannot remember more but it was borderline mean. In a Disney way. ;)

Even the handlers were rolling thier eyes at some of the things they said. :rolleyes1

Here is that post and you can see it was the same lovely ladies
Steps in rare form

These were the best "in character" characters I have ever seen. They were :thumbsup2

In all our trips, I don't believe I have ever encountered the stepsisters. The look like a riot. Loved the photo of the one trying to be a ghost.

Time is flying-you will be heading that way again soon.:woohoo:

I've seen them a couple of times, but we've never stopped. I'm so glad this time we did.

I can't believe we are 16 days away (I'm not counting today because it is just about over).

:lmao: BEST PICTURE EVER! Oh my gosh, I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe! That is going to send me into giggles every time I think of it for the rest of the night!

Looking forward to reading all about Marco! (and count how many Starbucks stops there are! ;))

So, Brook, did you giggle all night? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The Starbucks, as far as the two of us together, were a little down this trip.

I love it!!! We saw the stepsisters mvmcp nite. They were much more toned down..and they were next to Cinderella and her Prince...photo op. Sadly only one of my princesses wanted to wait in line...I promised her CRT meal next trip....

I suppose they consider Cinderella the "big draw" there. I'm sorry only one of your princesses wanted to wait. Are the stepsisters at the CRT meal? I thought it was just princesses.

Hey now, I like a little :goofy:

(Other than from those in Washington, but that is another topic for another day). :rotfl2:

Now that was funny!

Hello! So, so, so far behind around here, but I'm trying to catch up! Can't wait to read more about this trip!

Welcome back, Tina. You've been missed.

Well...now I'm only forty pagess behind. :rotfl2: First class looks so nice; I've never done it. What a great surprise!

Sorry you didn't get off to the best start at OKW, though. We had a not so fabulous CM when we checked in in October, but otherwise, we loved OKW! Its beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. And our villa was incredible. Really the perfect choice for that trip!

First class was a real treat.

OKW didn't start out well, but the rest of the time there was as wonderful as always. I'm so glad you loved OKW. :)

I love the character interaction you had with the stepsisters. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: It's always great when you see them really get into it and just have fun with it. Much better than the handshake/picture/move along attitude. :thumbsup2

I can understand the handhake/picture/move along when there are 1 million people there, but during slower times I like that they give you that little "extra."

What a fun day y'all were having in the MK!! :thumbsup2

That interaction with the step-sisters and Lady Tremaine sounds like such fun! And the picture of practicing to be a ghost is hilarious!! :lmao:

Thanks, Amanda. It was a great last day at MK, and we had a blast with Lady Tremaine, etc.

What a great character meet! I wanted to meet the step sisters in July with Dani, but we never saw them. I have heard they are always a great meet and will definitely put them on the list for next time.

Oh, I hope you can see them next year...they were so much fu.

:cool1: Cool! I guessed right!!! :thumbsup2

You are just so smart.

Like everyone else has said, this is hilarious!!! :lmao:

It was a hoot.

Love low crowds! You can get so much done!!! :goodvibes

I loved the crowds too...we got a lot done this last day.

Right there with you! Love this show, especially during the Be Our Guest song.....the smells are fantastic!

The best show in Disney.

And then I head for the closest place to get something to eat..... ::yes::

That's funny....maybe that's why I always want popcorn after that show.

Great Pic!

Thank you.

If you really have sooo many, do you really have a favorite after all??? :confused3

It's so hard to pick a favorite....I do have several.

Not just Lady Tremaine, but Anastasia is looking a little drag queenish here too............ :scared:

Trust me, they were all fine....like Pat says later probably just the make-up.

Awww, last days are always tough, but you guys look like you were making the most of it! I've never met the stepsisters, but maybe I should seek them out, they sound like a riot! You guys also got in some great attractions! I agree, its so hard to narrow down a list of favorites! :goodvibes

We really had a great trip, and the last day was near as perfect as could be.

I hope you meet the stepsisters...they were a blast.

The wicked stepsisters had me :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

What an awesome time! As others have said, when they get into character like that, it's truly what makes Disney, Disney.

Otherwise, :thumbsup2 for Haunted Mansion, :thumbsup2 for Philharmagic, and :sad2: for IASW.

Mark, you would have gotten such a kick out of them. It is what makes Disney what it is.

LOVE Haunted Mansion; love Philharmagic; you can't even nap in IASW because it is so loud!

I love your leisurely no park day!

Turtle crawl looks like quite the drink.

:cool1: on the girls trip being booked!

Wasnt the rain in florida this fall weird? I have been to WDW and had it rain...but this was much worse than I have ever experienced. None of the "oh it will stop in 5 minutes kind"

7:45am arrival at MK? :worship:

My dd was looking at pictures over my shoulder and when I scrolled to the hat photo of Mark when you were in City walk and he tried on the blue hair thing... OMG, she started :rotfl2: I love it when she deep belly laughs.

I am going to have to try Kona for breakfast some day. It looks yummy...and having some real coffee might be just the draw. Of course, now that Main Street Bakery is going to be turned into a Starbucks location...maybe I can get some coffee there.

As for the Poly..it is on my list to stay too. I just have yet to justify the cost. Who knows... maybe if a good discount comes out before my next trip.

The evil step sisters seem to always be true to character and no matter when we have seen them they have always been among the BEST interactions. VERY funny pic
Photo0439FourBySix.jpg

And with that... I am caught up. :cool1:

Pat, I have to tell you it was the funniest thing ever that we experienced.

I, and we all thank you for sharing it with all of us. :worship:

Isn't it great? I don't think I'll ever top it.

The Tiki in Boutiki has always been there. Usually there is merchandise on the arm or hanging from somewhere. Somethimes they do get moved around but there is so much to look at in the that store sometimes you just miss one. ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2:LOVE this....what is the fun of having kids if you can't torture them a little, right? :goodvibes

I totally agree.

Kathy your updates are great. I had really been wondering about the TR title but that explains it perfectly. I agree that those ladies don't look very "lady" like but FUNNY from the sounds of it. Our encounter with the steps at 1900 PF was great - I would stop to see them in the parks. I am developing a new appreciation for the Disney villians.

I would really like to meet more the villians in the future.

Marv, after taking a second look, I agree about Anastasia. Honestly, that creeps me out.
Now Kathy will have to clear this up, since she talked to them! ::yes::

No, they were all girls...just well in character.

I have seen that trio in the flesh and they are indeed "ladies". They may not act like it but they are.

Maybe a new guy in the makeup dept that day??? :confused3

I just think they look very "in character."

In the flesh huh??? That is a little more of a character meet than I care to experience............ :scared1: :faint: :rolleyes1

Not total flesh .... that would be a bit much...:rotfl2:

Unless of course it is your tumble monkey........ :confused3:sad2:

Those tumble monkeys are covered from head to toe.:rotfl:

You should know with all those closeup shots you are constantly taking............. :rotfl2:

Are you guys going back to having your minds in the gutter again? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love your leisurely no park day!

Thanks, Ann.
Turtle crawl looks like quite the drink.

They were both good; it may take over the Pina Colada phase I've been going through.

:cool1: on the girls trip being booked!

Now I just have to get my vacation approved.

Wasnt the rain in florida this fall weird? I have been to WDW and had it rain...but this was much worse than I have ever experienced. None of the "oh it will stop in 5 minutes kind"

It was the most we've had at that time of year in at least our last four visits.

7:45am arrival at MK? :worship:

We wanted to get as much done as we could on our last day.

My dd was looking at pictures over my shoulder and when I scrolled to the hat photo of Mark when you were in City walk and he tried on the blue hair thing... OMG, she started :rotfl2: I love it when she deep belly laughs.

I'm glad I could give Zoe a laugh.

I am going to have to try Kona for breakfast some day. It looks yummy...and having some real coffee might be just the draw. Of course, now that Main Street Bakery is going to be turned into a Starbucks location...maybe I can get some coffee there.

Even though you can now get Starbucks at the MK, you still need to go to Kona...so good.

As for the Poly..it is on my list to stay too. I just have yet to justify the cost. Who knows... maybe if a good discount comes out before my next trip.

Is that a hint we have dates for our next trip and a resort picked out?

The evil step sisters seem to always be true to character and no matter when we have seen them they have always been among the BEST interactions. VERY funny pic
Photo0439FourBySix.jpg

I'm sorry we hadn't stopped to see them earlier.

And with that... I am caught up. :cool1:

I'm glad you are caught up. I have to try and do that as well as get my updates going again.

I we thatnk you for sharing it with all of us. :worship:

You are most welcome.

The Tiki in Boutiki has always been there. Usually there is merchandise on the arm or hanging from somewhere. Somethimes they do get moved around but there is so much to look at in the that store sometimes you just miss one. ;)

Guess I just missed it on our previous visits.

All caught up again here! Love the new installment and pictures! Couldn't agree with you more, but Lady Tremaine really doesn't look ladylike. ;)

I don't think the stepsisters are in CRT. Only 1900 park fare..right? Universal spoiled them with the express pass..no lines accepted. LOL

What a great character meet! I love the picture of the stepsister with one of her petticoats over her head. One of a kind!

All caught up again here! Love the new installment and pictures! Couldn't agree with you more, but Lady Tremaine really doesn't look ladylike. ;)

Hi, Karin. She does look rather manly, but trust me she was a she. :)

I don't think the stepsisters are in CRT. Only 1900 park fare..right? Universal spoiled them with the express pass..no lines accepted. LOL

I didn't think the stepsisters were at CRT. I do know they are at 1900 Park Fare as I've seen them in TR's. Spoiled kids! :lmao::lmao:

What a great character meet! I love the picture of the stepsister with one of her petticoats over her head. One of a kind!

Lisa, it was such fun...I laughed so hard my tummy hurt.

In case anyone missed my post earlier in apologizing for not getting responses done in a more timely fashion, we were in Dubuque for the weekend seeing these adorable kids:

Meandmykids.jpg

So when I last left you, we had just finished visiting 999 happy ghosts and stopped in a dump shop. From there, we headed to Splash Mountain but, unfortunately, after we got in line it broke down and they had no idea when it would be up. So, instead we went to do Big Thunder again:

After our ride in the Wild West, we headed to a calmer train ride:

We got off at the Storybook Circus stop and walked the pathway to Tomorrowland:
