How much do you coordinate your outfits to your group and your location/plans?

Part of our fun is matching shirts. I make a t-shirt for each day (or sometimes Hawaiian shirts if we need collars) Doesn't matter if there are just 2 of us, or all 18!

Most of my t-shirts are corruptions of Signs or attractions from past trips (i.e. the Yeti and the slogan NEverest, Tiger path sign, all the words to the songs from Pirates, Grim grinning ghosts, etc) It has become a family tradition, and now even new family members ask what the shirts will be for the next trip.

Love your shirts!:thumbsup2

I'm coordinating/making outfits for our 2 girls, I'm having as much fun planning their wardrobe as I am the trip!

DH usually has a specific shirt for each park/event in mind when he packs.

I always intend to plan but end up throwing what I think would be comfortable, but not goofy looking should any pictures accidentally be taken of me. Ultimately I over pack, but that's just a little luxury that we have when we drive. I'd probably be more specific & planned if we flew.

The one time we kinda matched was our three generations trip when BIL got us Mickey/Minnie shirts. We all wore them on our main MK day & had one of those giant family photo-pass pics with the castle in background that looks less goofy because all 6 of our t's coordinated.

No, we won't be coordinating outfits. Not really our cup of tea.

My sister and I don't coordinate with each other but I usually have a theme going. When we stayed in a pirate room at CBR I wore pirate shirts the whole trip, another time it was fairies. My sister sews and has been know to make shirts that coordinate with the parks or specific lands within the parks.

My wife likes to theme her outfit and my sons to our plans.

On the drive from Baltimore to Orlando, she wore a Corvette t-shirt and my son wore Cars because "we spent all day in the car".

On our MK day, she was disappointed because she wore a Tinkerbell shirt but couldn't put my son in his Lost Boys shirt because it was too warm. I later pointed out that he was dressed like Mr Smee.

We sometimes wear Star Wars shirts to DHS. (My sons shirt has Darth Vader and says "Dad is coming. Look busy."

My wife and I also have coordinated OKW shirts (one Mickey and one Minnie) and Dinosaur shirts (one vegetarian and one carnivore).

I fully coordinate DGD's outfits to the day/plans. Often this necessitates clothing changes during the day but one does what one needs to do to be "dressed right" :rotfl2:

I sort of coordinate but not to the point of DGD. DH does not at all. We never match, not even DGD and I

My DM always brings along this polka dotted shirt on all our family vacations since about 1999.

In 2013, we decided to secretly make polka dotted tees for everyone else and the day that she chose to wear that shirt, we would all wear it. We called it "operation polka". Some of us had to do a quick change as they were dressed before DM. She got a big kick out of it though and we all 'matched' that day.

My DDaD will never let it go, when my DM picked out a tee shirt for him to wear the day we were going to Animal Kingdom. None of us really paid attention until we were going to the turnstiles and my DD got a few raised eyebrows.

The front of the Tee read "There is room for all of God's creatures" and had animals like a deer, turkey, bear etc on it while the back read "Right next to the potatoes and gravy" and had a dinner plate of food.

From now on when he wears that tee at Disney he makes sure we are not going to the Animal Kingdom.

I theme my kids outfits and coordinate them with each other. I love it!!! They tolerate it... DH and I coordinate our outfits with the kids every now and then.

I love to wear an outfit that is "appropriate" for the park. On the day I know I'll meet Minnie, I wear my minnie outfit, etc. DH will do it a little, in that he'll wear his Turkey Leg shirt on a day when likely to eat a Turkey Leg, but otherwise, he doesn't care.

We are doing an extended family trip in December, my parents, my sister, her husband and their 2 boys, plus DH and me. I suggested matching outfits and was laughed at :rotfl2:, so I guess to each her own!

I've never coordinated with anyone or dressed with an intent on which park I was visiting. This year, since I discovered disneybounding, I thought I would have a bit of fun. These are clothes I always wear, but thought I would put them together in some fun ways for my Magic Kingdom days. Will be going to MK 3x this trip. I have a green skirt, teal top, brown leather sandals and I'm making a little hair clip with the green and teal colors with a tiny red feather accent. I haven't been able to find a sword charm or necklace around here, but I'm looking, that would complete my Peter Pan. My yellow skirt, a blue shirt with a thin horizal stripe, white Keds with yellow shoe strings and a little red with sequins bow hair clip and maybe my yellow or red head band for Snow White. The last night of my trip I will be going to MNSSHP, so I have my red and white polka dot dress, sequin Minnie ears and my Keds.

Last year was the first trip where I coordinated our outfits to match the park we were at, character we had plans to meet.
I enjoyed it and my boys are young so I have total control over what they wear :)
This year for our Disneyland September trip I plan on having some shirts made with their names on them and a special themed shirt for MHP.

No coordination at all. Life is too short. I'm not spending my vacation time messing with that kind of nonsense. :rotfl2:

That's awesome.

lol...my girls are 21 and 23 and we like to coordinate our clothes. I don't really call it dictating....but we like the way it looks in pictures. We don't match but have theme days. Texas rangers one day, university of texas another day, stephen f austin university another day. Makes it easier for cm's to tell where our party ends...makes the pictures look better.

My husband isn't picky about what he wears and will wear whatever i get out for him lol.

hook em horns!

My sister also thinks I'm silly for our disney/character/parks themed outfits. But they are not a Disney family with only one trip under their belts.

Oh dear! LOL
