How much do incentives vary throughout the year?

A friend is looking into buying direct in the near future. She was wondering how much incentives vary throughout the year (e.g., are there special holiday offers?).

I was under the impression they don’t vary much, but I never qualified for incentives when I bought my contracts, so I never paid attention to them.

It seems like the larger concern for her might be the next price increase, whenever that comes along.

There are always incentives, and they change roughly every two months. Right now, Riviera and Aulani incentives are pretty good while VGF incentives are terrible.

Incentives on sold out resorts are quite rare.

It doesn't matter much, they raise the price then offer a DEAL that's about 30% of the increase. So the longer you wait, the more you pay.
