I'm trying to figure out how much to save up between now and November so the entire trip is already paid for before we go.

We will have fun money from the Disney Visa (probably about $100 by then)

DD has special dietary restrictions so we'll have to bring most of her food.

Tell me how much to budget please LOL!

Our family of 4 has been 6 times. What we've come to plan for is roughly double whatever the hotel room/tix are (we always stay at the DLH). So, roughly $5000 including airfare from OR.

Well, where are you coming from? I have never had to fly and all of my trips have ranged from $300 to $2000.
$2000 paid for 3 APs and 1 4 day parkhopper and 2 nights at the DL Hotel, plus all of our food, which included no fast food-1 night at Blue Bayou and one night at ESPN Zone, souvenirs, and gas from home ($55 one way).

$300 paid for 2 nights in a hotel room at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel, split with my best friend. I already had an AP and the $300 also paid for all of my food and souvenirs and my half of the gas.

So, where are you coming from? How do you plan on getting to Disneyland? If flying, do you need a rental car? What hotel do you want to stay at? What kind of tickets and for how many people?

our recent driving trip ended up around $3500. We had 6 nights total, 3 at PPH and 3 at Candy Cane Inn. We had City Pass tickets for 4. (3 days at Disney, Seaworld, USH, SD Wildlife Center, so also had 3 other nights at hotels. Only about $200 on souvenirs as this was our second family trip in two years so we didn't need as much stuff. Also we spent less on food this trip because we planned ahead better and shared more. Our fuel was about $600, so just add in your additional travel costs. Also the City Pass is about a 5 day park hopper price, so your tickets may be more or less.

Just back on Dec 15th & these are our totals...

Book your hotel room NOW!! I booked the Del Sol AAA rate 2 Q for $60 night for mid September. Keep an eye out for great airfair deals all year OR check out American which has their rates for the year up already. I could book my plane now if I wanted to but think I may drive. PLAN PLAN PLAN! The early bird gets the best rates. Not sure if you have AP's or not but you could purchase your TX all year. One a month for however many you need or every 2 months. You get the idea. The rates for the BWPPI are up now. Understand you dont have to PAY for any just yet just dont forget to cancel if you change your mind.

Dec 5-8 Trip:

Me and Hubby had AP's
2 2day Hoppers for the kids: $200 (I bought and sold so much to get a deal this may be less)

Hotel: $410- could have been half price if I had stayed at Anaheim Plaza but chickened out at the last min.

Gas: $100
Food: $200
Visa Rewards($100) for general "stuff"

We ate in a lot, bet all in all under $1,000 for family of 4

we (party of 6-3 adults, 6 yr old boy, 4 yr old girl, 2 yr old girl) with 2 rooms at paradise pier (4th night free) 4 day hoppers, airfair, food and souvies, spent $5000.

Thanks! This is going to be a budget trip so we'll be staying off-site (BWPPI probably)...

Flying from ABQ NM. (Southwest probably...keeping my eyes peeled for the $99/one way rates)

Rental car, yes. We will be doing Knotts and maybe 6 flags as well.

We drive & not counting gas or souvenirs....family of 4....

4 nights at Desert Inn & Suites:$516
3 for 5 Park Hoppers: $616
Food roughly: $400

Total $1532

This is just a roughly added up figure, we might spend more on food & who knows how crazy we'll get w/ souvenirs...

HTH Some...

2 adults. $1000 about. for the 4-day park-hopper at the candy cane inn. hella bomb hotel :) it's really close to the park

A quick way of getting a costing is to visit the offical DL website - the online booking quote of packages and comparing prices instantly and you don't need to leave you details etc. I found that their pricing was on average $200more in total than booking all of it seperately. It's a good way to start the process before starting the shop around.

We just got back about 3 weeks ago.

2 adults and 1 child
6 nights at HOJO
Rental car 7 days
Legoland
2- 5 day adult park hoppers
1- 5 day child park hopper
Flight from PDX to SNA
Ariel Grotto
$100 per day for food
Souvenirs
Gas for Rental Car

Roughly- $2600

for 5 of us to fly out of ABQ to ONT Dec was $1450
kind of did or trip last minute and over christmas we budgeted 200 a day spending and meals and had money left over every day so we spent it on $60 sweat shirts for all and $25 hats

I guess it all depends on what you want to buy and where you want to eat. Not including our airfare and hotel for 2 nights (other nights we just stayed with my MIL who lives 15 minutes away) we spent about $1500 at Disneyland. We bought season passes for the 3 of us and did character meals, birthday party at the Plaza, ate wherever we wanted no matter the cost. Also whatever my daughter wanted, she got. We had not been in a year and a half since we moved away and we just splurged on whatever we wanted and had a blast. This year will probably be much of the same. We go for her birthday now so it is a big to do and this year she is turning a whopping FIVE, lol.

Now when we lived there and went 2-3 times a week I could get in and out for the day for $20 spending, lol. My husband missed that part of it, lol, not having to spend so much.princess:
