My VGC points are only 14% of my total, so mostly apples and more apples. Good thing I love me some apples! But you’re comparing apples to VGC… you’re fine. It’s not like my AKV, BRV and OKW points are sniffing VGC…
I love DCA! I can’t wait to hear “5-4-3-2-1 Go!” againTwinning. Haha. All direct except VGC. My average per point is $193. Haha. Also hello from DCA - in line for Mater. It’s fun to think how we’d do DVC differently if we started over.
Sounds great, but wait until you get the annual dues bill! So….are you moving into the grand villas permanently? That is honestly incredible!
An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Remember this: DVC is keeping you out of LTC and that's huge savings!!My VGC points are only 14% of my total, so mostly apples and more apples. Good thing I love me some apples!![]()

Just wanted to say there’s a whole forum for Aulani - https://www.disboards.com/forums/aulani-a-disney-resort-spa.198/Thanks @crvetter!! That helps a lot. My wife's biggest concern with Aulani is boredom. I think it would be really fun, but with 10 hours of travel each way (possibly broken up by a short stop by DL), I almost have to book a week and a half for it to make sense.

Don't beat yourself up. We paid more pp for BRV than we could have bought at SSR despite the longer contract. We just love BRV. Plus you get to book VGC!!!My average price per point sucks!
Almost all direct and what is not direct is resale VGC so it's all $$$$$Don't feel bad. We bought BRV for a higher pric e
I'm always living too cautiously... Raising my arms on Space Mountain seems scary.Living Too Cautiously?
Yeppers.Long Term Care?
I need to ditch my LTC insurance in favor of more DVC points. That’s sound financial advice!Yeppers.
We’re talking avg purchase price, not including dues, right?Twinning. Haha. All direct except VGC. My average per point is $193. Haha. Also hello from DCA - in line for Mater. It’s fun to think how we’d do DVC differently if we started over.
I definitely like the idea of spending more on DVC instead of (or in place of) LTC.!!!I need to ditch my LTC insurance in favor of more DVC points. That’s sound financial advice!
The way I nodded my head sagely and approvingly at this, it really is scary. 33 has hit hard apparently.I'm always living too cautiously... Raising my arms on Space Mountain seems scary.
Wowzaaaaa, why aren’t you in the 1000 point club, you’d be VP and Campaign Manager (and probably usurper not too distantly) at #2 on the list (slacker)! Thanks, yes, we've enjoyed it tremendously. Our children and now grandchildren are growing up at WDW.
(Dating myself, I stayed as a 12 year old the first week of the Poly in October 1971)
We now own 5 resorts with over 5000 points.
Sending you a pmWe’re talking avg purchase price, not including dues, right?
I need a formula to help me wrap my head around this. lol
Ppp x amount of points, then do that for all contracts, then divide by total number of points?
I definitely like the idea of spending more on DVC instead of (or in place of) LTC.!!!
Yes sadly haha. 400 of ours are VGC so they skewed us higher. If WDW were our home park we would have a much lower average per point price. But Disneyland our home park and we like 11 month planning so VGC and VDH it is for most our points. We’re talking avg purchase price, not including dues, right?

i can imagine… that isn’t a fun bill every year. I’m already dreading my little 1,600 bill right after ChristmasI try to forget how many points we have every January.
