Following back in some of the Aulani stuff:
1) If you get a 1 bedroom or larger (which I would highly recommend) then the kitchen and laundry very much come in handy….more than at a theme park.
2) Most people do a Target/Costco/Foodland trip on the first day to stock up on food and beverage options (including pre-made).
3) There is a TON to do on Oahu, so IMO the only reason someone would be bored is because of lack of effort.
4) That being said, my wife has requested a “do nothing” trip when we go back in a month…. so that means we will be spending a lot of time in Ko Olina and probably
driving over to the North Shore. I’m foreseeing lots of walks along the lagoons and possibly some golf.
5) She understands that also means I will try to have us take ukelele lessons, go to the hula lessons, and take the history and nature tours in property
…. but save the Poleneysian Cultural Center, additional Pearl Harbor exhibits, Palace, etc until we go back next summer.
6) Flights: Use Google flights and track when the best time to book a flight usually is. You can get some great deals. You can also look into getting to LAX with one airline and booking a different airline for the round trip to Hawaii.
