How much did you save?

Every dedicated shopper will tell you, it's not how much you spent - it's how much you saved!!!!!!! It's how we justify our spending. So I thought it would be nice to see all the money everyone is saving with PINs and GP discounts and FD.

Our trip, if booked at full price would have cost $2671 (not including air). 2 Adults, 1 child (8) for 5 nights at POP standard room, 3 nights at AKL pool view, 6 day PH tix.

We used the kids free offer at POP and saved $234, used 40% PIN for AKL and saved $475. Discounted trip cost $1962. Total savings $709 (roughly 26%). If I get a FD PIN, this could change again!

Anyone else want to brag about their savings????

We used the 40% off deluxe for our 4 night BC trip in September (2 adults, 2 kids). Saved $600. Will use UT for tickets, so will save a little more, but I have not priced out the tickets yet, but last year I think it was about $70 we saved on tickets.

Well I'm pretty darn excited because I saved $947 w/ a bounceback offer to the Poly!
Funny thing is that my family has never been to WDW before and I just went for my first time for a quick weekend w/ my friend for the Princess Marathon. We stayed at Value Music but I called and got a bounceback for Poly when I bring the kids and hub in Nov! I told my husband that by me going away for the weekend w/ my girlfriend that we actually saved almost 1,000 dollars. Definitely worth it!

No, we did not have a flyer in the room. Thanks to these boards I heard that you should just call 8844 (I think) from your room while checked in to get the offer. I had no problem. We already had the trip reserved for Nov 15-22 at Poly and I asked if I could just apply the bounceback offer to that and it was no problem. I was prepared to cancel and start from scratch if I needed to but that wasn't necessary. No problems. But...no, there weren't any flyers anywhere.

Using a 35% off room PIN, we saved about 335.00 on our package for December at POR!

Still watching for a FD pin, which would bump our savings up to amost $700.00!

We are getting 2 rooms at AS Music for 3 nights, 7-day tickets for 2A/4C and a CR Garden View room for 4 nights (DS2 will room with grandma those nights.)

- Value for 3 nights with 7-day tickets for 1A/3C = $1340 (Paying $620 w/ kids free)
- Value for 1 night with 7-day tickets for 1A = $620 (Paying $245 w/ 35% off + $250 UCT ticket)
- CR Garden View for 4 nights = $1850 (Paying $1115 w/ 40% off)

Total = $3810

Paying = $2230

Savings $1580

I’m also thinking about getting DxDDP for the kids and I the first 3 nights, which should save us another $450-$550 ($50 to $60 per meal.)

This all could still change after I run the numbers on Free Dining.

Using the free dining offer for this coming August we currently have:

Coronoado Springs 7 nights, 8 day park passes for 4 (2 adults, 2-16 year olds) and the regular dining plan. The cost for this is $2,370.86

Pricing out the same at regular costs would be $3,679.86 so it looks like we are saving $1,309.

For ONCE I am not on PIN PATROL ANYMORE!!!!! Well at least for this summer.....

YC - saved about $780 on 5 nights

Approximate savings by using 40% over free dining (with 2 adults and 2 kids):
$320 at AKL
$190 at YC

note: I haven't gotten the FD pin, but decided to calculate if I would save by going that route and I would not.

Yes, you can only use one PIN per reservation. I read through the posts and didn't see anyone saying they were able to use two PINS for the same stay. We are using 2 PINS (possibly 3,) but we are getting several rooms (5 total with our 3 rooms and my moms 2 rooms.)

I think people on the thread were referring to the fact that they will save more money with the FD PIN than the PIN they are currently using. So, if they are able to snag FD later then they will use that PIN instead of their current PIN to save more money.
