I just have to share a recent subbing experience...

The lesson started with checking the assignment from the previous day so I asked the students to get out their papers.

Student X says to me "I didn't get that assignment yesterday"

Classmates "Yes you did! You just didn't get it done!"

Me to student X "what would Mrs Jones normally have you do in this situation?"

Student X "she would let me follow along while you checked it"

Classmates "no she wouldn't, she would make you go sit in the hallway"

This just cracked me up that the class was NOT going to let this young man get away with anything!


On a Disney related note ...Have you done the cape may breakfast? What did you think? I am considering it for May and debating between staying in Epcot and doing Akershus or making it a later start and starting with Cape May.

I just love the little Dudly Do-Rights! We didn't make our Cape May last summer but are planning to do it first thing in May... MeMom and her crew loved it!

On with the report.....

We had missed our early ADR...

We did have another at 6:30 at 50's Prime Time and we were all hungry.
Except for Matt and Megan....
They were in bed, sick, very sick....

I was texting as many DIS friends as I could to try to figure out what we could do about our DIS meet....
I hoped that if I couldn't reach them, they would be able to reach me....
Keeping my fingers crossed Marc, Baylor, Keeley, Harper and I set off on our trek to the lobby......
460 steps.....
Dressed for the evening....
Sweating....
All except Harper who was riding in her stroller.

In the lobby we ran into this infamous fellow!

Harper was having nothing to do with Stitch so he had to sneak around behind the stroller..... I wanted to nudge this Indian princess out of our picture

We made our way out to the bus stop in the cool of the evening, it was a beautiful night! Baylor stood next to the pop machine for a photo as we waited for our ride to Hollywood studios.

We were sad to be going without our whole group but excited to be heading to eat. So far I had reached Happydog and they were still eating, Ros was going to meet us at 50's PT and Julia was meeting us as well. I was hoping others would contact me....

As luck would have it, Dawn called and they came and met us too! Yay! We totally missed the boat on Shannon that night but would be seeing her and Courtney the next night and got to see them another day as well! So not all was lost....
Oh well we tried....

Back to dinner!

We arrived at 50's PT and checked in. Everyone went in and Julia, (Jewjuwbean) our adopted DIS daughter who is there on her 2nd tour of duty on the college program texted us and was heading our way so I went outside to meet her. I was soooooo excited. We had been chatting with this charming young lady several times a week for almost a year. Talk about feeling like you know someone! She arrived {{hug fest}} and we went in! Next up was Ros (Rtobe) another DISer we met Ros last October, we adore her keep up with her in chat and on facebook! Here's a picture at the table with our good friends!Ros is next to Marc.

Sorry no food porn, I was busy, busy feeding Harper....
I had the pot roast, it was fatty, should have had the chicken.... The mashed and carrots were good though!
Baylor had the fried chicken and he shared, thank you Baylor!
Keeley had the fried chicken
Marc had Tuna Casserole he really liked it!
Ros and Julia shared some onion rings and maybe a desert.... I was at the other end of the table and did not get enough time to visit with them at all!
OOPS Just found some food porn......
Keeley had a Hot Fudge Sundae she thought it was tasty!

Baylor and I had the Smores for desert they were just OK

Marc had the Dad's brownie Sundae he gave it an OK too....

Dawn, Dan, Carsyn, Trayner, and Baylor stopped to say hi! We would be meeting up with them later in the trip too!

After dinner we were fading....
We decided to do just a little shopping on our way out of the park.
Keeley purchased a sweatshirt.

It's just easier....
I think that was about it.
3:00 AM was catching up with us.
We said our good byes and boarded the bus for Kidani after all, we had 460 steps to walk from the lobby...
I wonder how many it would have been from the bus stop....

We made our way to the room and I got Harper ready for bed.
She wanted to take a bath but that would have to wait for morning...

She sure has that binky in her mouth a lot...
Time for our first Disney sleep. Hoping for rope drop in the morning....
What will be Harper's first Disney park?
What will be Harper's first Disney ride?
Will everyone make it out of the villa?

Yay! A fun update! Harper is so dang cute. I loved Stitch all dressed up for the holidays. That's cool that he and Donald both were right there in the lobby!

50's PT looks like fun but I can't seem to interest anyone in my family in going there. Guess I'll bring it up again for a future trip.

Glad Baylor is feeling better and so far you and Marc are well. Have a good weekend!

I agree. Keep the schoolwork at school as much as possible. Sometimes it's not possible. Sometimes I bring it home with me with good intentions, and it sits untouched.
Dis or do schoolwork? Hmmmm.

Katie - We did love Cape May and have recommended it to others who have also loved it. Look back on our summer trip and try to find July 30th. That's the day we were there. I'll look when I have time, too, so maybe you can see some pictures.

Why is it that each of these pictures gets progressively more violent? He must have been just an actor in the first movie and then actually had experience as a substitute by the end.

We had to get to our ADR at Brown Derby or we would have been with them. Funny that I'm at the exact same place on my TR. Getting ready to post about our meal at BD. I hate that we missed you that night, but at least we got more opportunities to meet up with you!

It was so funny when we were hanging out with Dawn & her crew, the whole time Treyner was talking about meeting Keely. Glad they got to hang out!

We our Cape May Cafe breakfast a couple of years ago. So much fun! I only have pictures of my kids with characters and no TR so I can't show you them but it was really, really fun!
