2026 MMB info Announced

I bought a Memory Maker package back before our Feb 2024 trip. As the trip approached we decided to upgrade our tickets to Sorcerer Pass, and asked that they credit the Memory Maker cost toward our 2 APs and $99 AP Photopass add-on, which the CM said sure but she didn’t lol.

So that Memory Maker credit is showing in our account for almost 2 years now. I’ve asked a few times and repeatedly told it would not expire until used.

One CM even volunteered advice about the other MM credit showing in our account for MMB, remarking to save that for last lol. But I’m not sure they understood the workings of DVC.
Hmmm interesting. Hopefully they just stick around then!

Does the MM credit from two years ago and MMB MM look the same in your MDE?

I do have a 2nd non blue and membership that both me and DH are on.

Yes this is the same as DH and me. We are listed on the resale, the kids are only listed on the direct, and that made it 2 memberships.

When DH tried to use his MMB to buy bogo OTUP on his resale contract, the first CM seemed very on point understanding what we trying to do and said it was possible. Unfortunately that call disconnected before the transaction finalized. The 2nd CM said it was not possible. I’m buying MMB next year and will TRY AGAIN 😂

I will try it for next year too.

One confirmation is only 5 digits, the other is 5 letters followed by 7 digits 4 letters followed by 8 digits. When speaking with CM or MS, they can see they are different and which is MMB vs regular MM.

Good thing I just looked. I think DH activated both during our trip last weekend?! Yikes lol.

So now I am more confused than ever did I leave free OTUP on the table or is double dipping not allowed?
I have a DEC UY. I bought BOGO OTUP for a trip in February 2026, could I have purchased BOGO OTUP for a trip Oct 2025 and Feb 2026 with only having one MMB membership?
You get 24 OTUP per Use Year.

You get one set of BOGO OTUP per MMB year, as defined by when you actually conduct the transaction.

No. That is why when people tie it to UY it gets confusing, which obviously it does for CMs too.

Anyone with 2025 MMB was entitled to purchase one set of OTU points at a discounted price by calling in any day in 2025.

As long as you were eligible to buy them at full price, then you get the discount.

Once you used that benefit, it’s gone. Any future OTU points you want to purchase during 2025, assuming they are for a different UY, either membrrhip or trip, you pay full price.

The rules of OTU points are the same…all that changed was the price if you are MMB for the first set you were buying in 2025.

If you bought points in 2025, using BOGO free pricing, then you can’t buy anymore OTU points at the discounted price until 2026, assuming you buy MMB for 2026.

Thank you for checking and sharing!

I guess the confirmation number ties back to how it was paid/generated.

Hopefully Disney can straighten that out if he activated them both 🙈 Just for a DP, mine says "view photos" and it isn't activated.

Awesome! and DH just said he didn’t touch anything so hopefully it’s all fine.

What we tried to do was buy 2 MMBs, one for me and one for DH, and then one of us buy bogo points on the resale contract/membership and the other do it on our different membership that is direct.

Early on I remember people being able to do it but maybe that avenue was closed. One CM recently seemed very confident he could get it all done for us but the call disconnected later on. Second CM said that plan was not possible, but then she also said it was not possible to buy a different set of full price OTUP on a different membership which wasn’t true.

It definitely did work for some. I never tried but we have all eligible memberships.

Maybe it was a loophole that was closed.

A resale membership shouldn't have been able to buy MMB in the first place, let alone redeem it for BOGO OTUP. It was definitely a loophole being exploited trying to pass one spouse off as a Direct member and the other spouse off as a kind-of-Direct member but also a separate member.

MMB applies to the owner so it didnt matter which membership you use it for because everyone can buy OTU points.

What people were able to do, and I know it would work because I asked the board at the meeting last year that, is have owners each buy and purchase on a different membership.

So, if you had more than one, and each owner bought MMB, each could use their benefit for one of those memberships.

I understand how it was working, I'm saying that's OBVIOUSLY not the spirit of how the program was supposed to work.

So if two people are on one membership then you can only buy one MMB? (Sorry if this was already answered)

No, they can each buy MMB. For example only the member with MMB has the expedited lounge access. Not a problem if you always travel together, but not everyone does.

A single membership is limited to 24 OTUP regardless of how many members purchased MMB.

If you have multiple members across multiple memberships (like you do) you can do different things because you can buy 24 OTUP on each membership.

Ah got it makes sense that even if both of us will be on the direct contract we should only buy one because its not like we can get 48 otup in that membership, that is a dumb mistake I would have made thinking i was smart, thanks 😅

Well it wouldn't necessarily be a mistake. You could each buy it and get 12 OTUP with 12 free in separate memberships. Just no more than 24 total in one membership.

That is what @Sandisw said she confirmed at the board meeting last year.

Having 150 direct points make you each eligible for MMB. One member could buy 12 and get 12 free in the Dec UY and the other member could buy 12 and get 12 free in the Feb UY if you each purchase MMB.

But if were hybrid and have only one direct contract, would my wife be able to use the otup benefit in the resale membership since I would be using it in the direct membership, I just assumed no but that would be cool if you can!

Based on what @Sandisw has shared from the board meeting, yes.

MMB is attached to the member, not the membership. You just need to be eligible for membership extras to purchase it.

Resale members are entitled to 24 OTUP and they carry no restriction. You as a member can decide you want to use your benefit on that membership.

@Sandisw please correct me if I am wrong and misinterpreting what you were told at the board meeting.

I will also add that when I said double dip earlier in the thread, I did not mean like this. This is how the program is intended to work based on the board meeting.

When I said double dip I meant some people purchased the 2025 calendar year MMB for one member and then purchased 12 OTUP with 12 free in their 2024 UY and their 2025 UY. I feel like this was a mistake and slipped through the cracks.
