Hi, I have just been checking my DD wardrobe and holiday clothes and wondering if I have enough clothes to last 2 weeks. I am not planning on buying her loads out there, and she will be wanting to change in the evening after a hot day at the parks.

This is my packing list for her -

2 swimming costumes, 4 pairs of shorts, 7 t shirts, 5 dresses, 2 skirts, 3 nicer top for the evening (signature dining) 1 princess type dress for Cinderella gala feast, 1 cardigan, 1 pair of Crocs, 1 pair dressy sandals, 2 sun hats, sunglasses, 1 pair of quarter length trousers(wearing on the flight), pair of trainers (also wearing on the flight) , light rain coat,

There are laundry facilities in most resorts if you run out of clean clothes :)

Also check out ASDA for really cheap kids summer wear, I seem to remember getting almost the whole of our youngest DDs holiday waredrobe for about £20-30 :)

I just take a change of clothes and a case full of deodorant

:lmao:

Thats exactly what DH does, he buys it all when we are out there. Who ever said about women shoppers!?

If you want to pack light you could always do a wash half way through the holiday like Goofyish mentioned previously :thumbsup2

I'll be taking double the amount of swimwear/T-Shirt and shorts for my kids than you suggested - and I still expect to have to wash once or twice!! :lmao: My thoughts are that we need at least 2 t-shirts a day - changing for evening or after a break, and we'd be all hot and sweaty, so not want to wear them again so if going for a fortnight - we'd need 28 T-shirts - which is obviously excessive, so I think we'll take 10 each and wash probably tiwice!! Plus I expect to have a dip in the pool at least daily so 3-4 lots of swimwear each - to give things time to dry for using again. It's a pain having to do washing on holiday but I don't see how else we can manage!:)

If your not planning to do any shopping then yea take loads of clothes for the kids, but if you are then dont take much cos kids clothes on orlando are cheap!!!!:thumbsup2 tommy kids love it:yay: even get clothes there 4 myself:banana: you would be surprised how big a XL shirt is 4 a kid lol:banana:

How old is your DD? My DD was 4 last time we went, but kept having 'accidents' as she was so excited  (sorry if that was too much info) I had to take a change of clothes for her everytime we went out, she went through tons of clothes and I had to do the laundry twice! Even if she hadn't had the problem, there is still the problem of hot and humid, leaving clothes sticky and feeling horrible, then there are the ice creams,,, etc etc!
This year I plan on doing laundry, it doesnt take long as you can load more than one machine at a time and they are usually near the pool, so you can have a sunbathe or a swim while they wash! I find too that I buy tons of holiday clothes and then they never get worn when you get home, I have thrown out so many shorts, tshirts etc that only got worn once or twice and won't fit her anymore :(

Sounds like plenty. You don't want to take too much, just takes up valuable shopping space!:)

Don't forget pyjamas/nightwear ?

Otherwise you seem to have everything covered, and you can buy when you get out there if needed.

Must admit it's common for us not to bring home some of Josh's clothes, the likes of swimwear/t-shirts/nightwear that he wears around the villa tend to be items that he wouldn't necessarily get much use out of when we get home anyway.

When we go out we have a balance of clothing for the parks, and nicer stuff for when we go out shopping etc
He looks great in surf-wear, especially the shorts.

If you are staying two weeks and you plan on changing for the evenings then this does not seem enough without washing everything at least once.

i only ever take enough clothes for one week and the wash them :) i also take some cheap clothes that i bin to make room for new purchases

I will take a few pairs of Pyjamas however can't see her wearing them, if it is to hot, she very rarely will keep a pair on all night.

I will get a few more pairs of shorts & t.shirts for the parks, like someone said ice creams, etc all equal mess! I will get some cheap ones as I can't see her getting any use out of them in England.

I will be buying a few clothes in Orlando however not summer clothes, I want to get her Jeans from gap and stuff she can wear once home.

We are going for a month and I am taking 4 days clothes for each of us :scared1:, a Jasmine and Hula outfit for DD and 3-4 swimming togs each. We always take way too much stuff and never get to wear half of it. I will have access to laundry facilities so I don't mind doing a wash every couple of days - the American machines are so fast it takes no time at all and if we need anything out there we just buy it.

I'd ditch the trainers & let her travel in her Crocs. You can buy a new pair over there.

I said I was taking very little this year. Not buying any new kids clothes till we got there. My 2 are now teenagers & we are staying in a villa.

But went to Next at our local outlet with DD 16 & got 2 huge carrier bags full & spent £28!! & i got 3 items!

I now have 12 t.shirts, and six pairs of shorts, and 7 dresses, I think we may have to wash a few things out, as I am sure she will go through 2 changes of clothes a day.

DW takes 3 caces of clothes for her and lets us put our clolthes in with the shoes
Paulh

I have just packed for our trip next week(well put them ready) for dd4 and she has 9 shorts 12 tops 3 short dungarees 2 3/4 length trousers 2 swim suits PJ's and 4 nice tops as won't wear a dress(tom boy:sad2: )I will do a wash at somepoint but I remember the old mickey mouse icecream and dole whips last year so always take a spare t-shirt out with us to the parks.I am planning on buying her some clothes as well.Your list looks ok as the dresses compensate the shorts but your second list looked better.Don't forget hats as gets very hot on there heads:thumbsup2 :cutie:

We're just home. Dd had 1 dress (luckily worn to Chef Mickey's). 7 t-shirts, 6 pairs of shorts, 2 skirts and 2 swim suits and underwear. I also took 2 pairs of trainers, flipflops, doodles and sandals. Then ended up buying her heelies and 2 pairs of crocs. So next time, 1 pair of trainers and 1 pair of Flip flops and that's it!!!

I only take enough for a week, I dont mind doing washing over there plus it leaves us room to buy more stuff.
