My DVC guide told me that police officers and nurses were the top 2 occupations of DVC owners.

I'm a nurse!

That is interesting!!! Earlier I posted that DH is a police officer (21 years, by the way) <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_8_4.gif' border=0></a>and I am an RN in the Operating Room(25 years this year)! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_2_2.gif' border=0></a> Both have to work to pay for our Disney addiction!

This is an interesting post......

My DH is a volunteer POlice Officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Our force relies heavily on volunteer officers in certain jurisdictions. I have applied myself and been accepted, now I just have to wait for someone to quit as a volunteer (auxiliary) officer to make room for me.

In addition, both my DH and myself are volunteer firefighters, on calll 7days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our Fire Department is strictly a volunteer Dep't with approx. 40 volunteer firefighters. My DH has been a volunteer firefighter for 23 years and myself for only a year, but we love it. Also, we are the volunteer ambulance crew in town. My husband is a Paramedic in charge of the Ambulance service...again, strictly volunteer.(24/7)

Needless to say, we don't have any kids!!

DH is a police officer here on Long Island for 13 years (geez, has it really been that long?????) I worked in law enforcement for a few years before becoming a SAHM.

Dad just retired from PD after 36 years 2 weeks ago, poor guy is "lost" already and needs something to do :(
