2 weeks (10 days) PERIOD. It never increases past those 10 days. We get no sick pay or other personal time.

I get three weeks and a day of vacation next year I will get four weeks and a day. I also get two weeks of sick time and a the standard federal paid holidays off.

3 weeks vacation, 5 sick, 2 personal and 9 paid holidays. DH only gets 2 weeks though so it stinks. When he finally get's 3 weeks - I'll get 4 - lol (I am 18 years at my job - he is 8)

3 weeks + 1 day vacation, 2 weeks personal (and we can carry over up to 3 additional weeks...I carried over 2 weeks this year....meaning I had 3 weeks vacation and 4 weeks personal), and then we have "extended illness", which is used if we are out for more than 5 days for one occurance.

So, my maternity leave....the first 8 weeks are extended illness, then I have my 3 weeks vacation, then I am taking 6 days of personal.
I have been at my company 9 years...

DH and I both are self employed so we get no paid leave time of any sort. Our vacation time is dependent upon what we can afford to take each year... it averages between 4 and 5 weeks a year.

Zero. I have always been a benefit-less temp/part-time/consultant type of worker at my various jobs. I never had one single paid sick day, paid vacation day, paid personal day, or paid holiday in my life. I accept that I probably never will, either. I never been able to land a full-time jobs with those perks, and I don't even try anymore to find a job like that.

Every time I vacation to WDW, I don't get paid for it, and I make no income that week. I just budget accordingly.

3 wks vacation - 4th wk at 10 yrs which will be in a year

plus 15 sick days /year and holidays, 3 personal days

Everyone at my company gets

20 Vacation Days
10 Sick Days
5 Personal Days

and we have 12 paid holidays a year.

We also have a disabilty bank that your leftover sick days are put in plus 1 day for every month of service during the year you can use these days after you are out sick more more that 6 business days in a row.

At my last job we got 2 weeks of vaction and 5 sick days and 2 personal days.

I took this job over another one with slightly higer pay b/c i figured that 47 days off a year was worth alot.

Our new fiscal year starts July 1 and I have to take all 20 days this years b/c i have maxed out the carry over of 30 days. I get to go to Disney twice this year. :)

DH and I are both teachers.

We get 6 paid six sick days a year. Those can accrue after your first year.

Four personal days which if not used are just thrown out.

We also get that summer break. It's always 8 weeks.

After 5 years at my co., I get 20 days right now (but that includes vacation and sick) and most of the major holidays. But I can take some extra days every now and then if I need to by either making up the time or just taking without pay...

I had to vote for the everyday is a vacation, or never. Back when I was working it was 3 weeks, and 3 more weeks of personal days or holidays. This isn't counting sick days.

DH teaches college. He gets about 12 weeks of a year, (counting teaching spring classes.) However if he wants some time off during school, it is more tricky. We don't like WDW in the summer so the weeks can go are the 1st week in Jan, 1st week in March or the 1st week in May.

UK policies apply to me, I get 29 days Holiday thats almost 6 weeks as technically I am senior staff. However the work doesn't go await it just waits until I get back.:scared1:

I think an interesting addition to the OP's question is, how much vacation you get and how long have you been with that company.

I get 4 weeks now because I've been here 10 years. I started with 2 weeks, got a 3rd at 5 years and a fourth at 10 years.

ETA: Plus 9 Holidays and 3 days Personal days per year.

I was given four weeks as part of the offer my new (Aug '05) company made me. It's the equivalent vacation time for someone with 10 years at the company. At one point in time, the company had 5 and 6 week vacation levels (for 15 and 20 years, respectively), but they eliminated those a few years ago and grandfathered anyone in that already was getting that much vacation time. So I'm maxxed out at 4 weeks at this point.

I'm self-employed, so I take what I want....it's not paid, of course. ;) But, I enjoy the freedom anyway.

DH gets all the holidays off paid, he gets 5 sick days and 3 personal days. Those are given after 6 months of work. He's been with the company 2.5 years and gets 2 weeks vacation. So, it's slightly over 3 weeks off plus the holidays.

He also gets 8 weeks paid paternity leave. The level of pay varies - 100% for the 1st 2 weeks, 80% for the next 2 weeks, etc.

He also gets 72 hours of paid time off. So, if he needs to leave early or come in late or take a long lunch for something, he gets 72 paid hours for that.

Next year, he'll get another week vacation. It maxes out at 8 week vacation after 15 years of service with the company.

I get three weeks, but it's been a few years since I've actually taken that much time. I think in 2 more years I'll move up to 4 weeks.

I'm a SAHM, so I get no time off. DH just started his job in March and he gets 4 weeks vacation, 1 week of personal time (what's the difference :confused3 ) and all the major holidays. I'm not sure about sick time.

3 Weeks vacation here, and 7 "personal" days. The 7 can be used as either sick, personal, whatever, which makes it kind of nice. One more year and I get another week...whoohoo!!!! :cool1:

I teach in the UK so technically I get 13 weeks off which are dictated by the council I work for. We don't get personal days but if we are sick we get sick days, we can claim 4 in a row then need a doctors note (I believe, I've never had more than one day off sick.) I would say out of those 13 weeks I actually maybe get 9 weeks where I do not work. Still very good though.
